Robert Heatley Stand / Re: AFL Rd 21 2024 In Game Angst Carlton vs Collingwood
Collingwood look a lot more composed and organised than us so far. We look loose by comparison and we’re lucky not to be further adrift imo. Let’s hope we can turn it around 2H, Jack Martin for a start.
Spot on. More composed, smarter and better organised.
We have the talent but are choking under the Collingwood pressure.
Couldn't get it out of defence for 10 minutes.
Still bombing it to Charlie with 3 hanging off him.
Need to play smarter and they are very beatable but can we?

That is a ridiculous idea.
If we have momentum the last thing our players would need would be that distraction.
By all means at the end of the game...but mid quarter. ::)
Agree Lods, ridiculous idea.
But not surprising given Collingwood thinking they are superior to everyone else.
Apparently it's something they do in a lot of international sports. Not something we need to copy though IMO..

Listened to SEN tonight. Daniel Hoyne said he is not worried about Carlton, just need to tweek a few things. We are apparently still in good shape overall. Corn also still big on Carlton.
I must have watching a different Carlton over the past 4 weeks. I don't care what the Champion Data metrics say, I am very concerned how we are going.
What was interesting also was that no team over the past 20 years that has won the flag, has lost more than 3 of their last 8 games.
The Swans and us are right on the knife's edge now.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: AFL Rd 20 2024 Post Game Prognostications Carlton vs Port Adelaide
Was at the game. Hugely disappointing loss.
Port are not a great team.
Very good second term, pressure was up.
Wheels completely fell off in the second half.
Agree with a previous post -  good sides find a way to win even with injuries.
We are held together by half a dozen very good players and when they are covered / injured we become fragile.
There's not  enough talent on the list, it's as simple as that.
Agree we need to be pretty ruthless with the list at the end of the year before the window closes as I don't think we're their yet with this group.
Happy to be proven wrong...
