Blah-Blah Bar / Re: Karma
I'm a bit of a fishing tragic  ;D I'm on the Ausfish forum where a system of Likes, Dislikes and Thanks works very well. I've got something like 800 likes, 300 thanks and about 12 dislikes, most of those are from mates doing some stirring or reacting to the same from me.  :D

The system has been in place from a long time and works well and is not abused. You can see who has put a like, dislike or thanks on any post.

There are lot of great posts on here that I would love to give a thanks or like to and have that recognized by the poster. There's no point in getting a recognition if you don't know by who or for what, which is where the karma system fell down and was open to abuse.

The Karma thing is ok but you should be able to see on particular posts who gave it a like or dislike. It stops people abusing the system I think.

Can't believe that just because LR didn't like it that he seeked, then it was taken down. He's not that much of a prima donna surely.

Blah-Blah Bar / Re: Queen (The Band) - Fan or Foe ??
I never took much notice of them when I was into music in a big way, well bigger than now anyway. Nobody I knew back then ever played them. I would've put them in the same class as, say, Suzi Quatro.

After seeing that doco I think we missed something, especially not following their development as we did with other bands, waiting for the next record to come out then playing it over and over again.

Freddie M was an absolute star and, as with the best of them, died young.

Gee I love the big CAS!. Really not sure why people have had Rowe ahead of him. He actually works really hard up and down the ground, isnt as slow as you might think, very powerful, and off course a great pair of hands. Yes the kicking is poor. That can be fixed with hard work.

Always a nice surprise to see someone taking a pack mark anywhere but close to goal from a long bomb has been a rarity for a long time.

We need a Leigh Brown or two.

Did you see Sandilands float forward and bury his knees into the backs on quite a few occassions, we have nobody with any mongrel by comparison. Twice Watson tried to spoil Sandilands by punching, Freo deliberately put he ball high to the big fella, a team like Hawthorn would puncture his lung!

Yep Hodge would find a way to cut that crap out.

Top post LP.

I'm going fishing up Qld for 6 weeks. Stuff the finals and the election, I'll be out on the barrier reef somewhere.

No more three amigo's for me. When Garlett first started playing  Betts talked up his tackling as being something special and it was a bit but no now. What happened? Its got to be the culture. There's going to be some big changes, there has to be.

Who would want to move to Carlton after what we've done to Juddy and his career. We sucked everything out of him and couldn't even work out how to protect him and give him a break from the taggers. I reckon Murf is feeling pretty lonely out there sometimes as we're doing the same to him. We need a Leigh Brown or two.

In a way it doesn't really matter whether he was talking about the game or more directly about Walkers performance. Its more the passion and the fact that whatever it was Walks would've been left no doubt what MM was on about.

At least we haven't seen the finger pointing that he did during his last gig which doesn't come across well on TV. His go at Green was more in the who gives a flying anyway.

RR is right though, there is starting to be a discernable difference and Lucas seems to be the  barometer, the perfect project player for MM to educate with lots of upside for everyone. Still ,  I enjoyed the way MM talked about Curnow after the game and it shows that MM isn't cherry picking and its a matter of pushing the right buttons for every player. It will be interesting to see who goes at the end of the season.

Well Well Well. We won when we  should've really slaughtered them. We were going to at one stage and I remember thinking that I haven't seen Carlton win like this since I can remember but we didn't, did we. Ahh well.

Great to see Mick so happy  in the after match interview. He likes Curnow, someone he reckons just goes and goes. You can see why he got back into coaching, like a dedicated school teacher when you take the kids away from them,,,, lost.
