Good arm wrestle of a match.

I was just about to say whoever gets the next goal will have momentum....and the umps pinged Harrington for running too far. I reckon thats the first time i've seen that in a womens match. Of course, a goal results.

Commentators seem to be on our side today. Calling for a few 50's we never got as well.

Bang. Quick score, Gee roves off the back and doesn't miss.

35-25 with 4 mins to go in the 3rd.

I just watched the Making Their Mark doc, its no wonder they have won 3 of the last 4 flags. It will take an unbelievable group of players and coaches to knock them off. I always thought Dimma was a flog, after watching that doc, he is a just a briliant coach.

I've still got 2 eps to go.

But did gws make a massive mistake making Cogs their captain? F*ck me he is uninspiring!
Sloane on the other hand is underrated.

Here’s hoping we line up like so

Fogarty Jones Plowman
Docherty Weitering Saad
Martin Cripps Williamson
Fisher Casboult Walsh
Silvagni McKay Cunningham

Pittonet Setterfield Dow

Curnow, Murphy, Gibbons, Stocker

No room for SPS in favour of Fogarty who can at least stick a tackle. Betts and SPS to prove their case in the twos.
Playing a few out of position there.

Fogarty should be at the other end of the ground. If you want a back pocket in place of SPS, move willo there from the wing and replace him with Setterfield.....or put setterfield straight into the BP. Bring Ed into the guts to replace him.

A much more balanced side that way.

Based on exposed form and availability due to injury/suspension we could get a team that looks little like we would've picked a couple of months ago.
Code: [Select]
'
FB  - Plowman - Jones - Docherty
HB  - SPS - Weitering - Saad
C   - Setterfield - Cripps - Dow
HF  - Martin - McDonald - Murphy
FF  - Silvagni - Casboult - Fisher
R   - Pittonet - Walsh - Curnow
INT - Williamson - Gibbons - Fogarty - Cuningham
EMG - Cottrell - Stocker - Kennedy

Unavailable (?) - McKay, Williams, Newnes, C. Curnow, TDK, Newman, McGovern, Marchbank, Betts, Kemp

From that list of 10 'unavailables' we might get up to 4 of them playing.....McKay, Newnes, McGovern, Betts.....if they can get up from their injuries. If fit, the 4 on the bench would probably lose their spot.
However, from that 10, if all fit and firing, you'd could argue a case for 9 of them being best 22. Thats a fair whack out of your side!

Forgive me because I cannot recall the exact numbers, but someone did the math on how many vaccinations we had to do per day to get whatever target was named for pater on the year.
We were doing less than 20% of the daily target needed to achieve the goals. No hope of achieving targets.

To get your head around what that means, after 5 days of vaccinations, we are 4 days behind. Repeat. Repeat. How do catch up from that??

As if almost on queue, the government have said they will not reach their target of vaccinating everyone (twice) by their due date (October).
Instead they hope to have everyone vaccinated once in that time.

Essentially cutting their target in half.

At the current pace, they would need to do that again to have a hope of making it, but likely fall just short.

Just watched the first 35 mins before heading off to work today.  It will be compelling watching!!

There are 7 episodes, all up and ready to be watched.  It's through Amazon / Prime and if you don't haver an account 'do yourself a favour' and take out a 7 day free trial and O D on it this weekend!!

I'm sure when Amazon contacted the various clubs and players to take part, they had no idea that they would be documenting a genuine piece of AFL history....fell on their feet!!

I wonder if Collingwood are regretting not being a part of this. Eddie was onto this years ago and tried to get the club on board, but they had just done their own doco and were not wanting to go through all that again so they said no.

This is great publicity for the clubs involved. A lot of casual type watchers may take up more of a following on AFL off the back of this, and that bodes well for the clubs involved.

I'm glad you mentioned the free trial thing. I was meaning to look into that for this very purpose.

Absolutely!

It’s a shame we can’t bring Dalton back too.  Haven’t they cancelled the Olympics yet?  ::)

Even if we could, we've replaced Daltons spot on the list.
