Sad thing is, by the time MM has finished his tenure and goes off to pasture with his millions, he'll have completely destroyed or traded any/all the talent that we had left when he came here.

As someone else said, the 3 amigos are taking the piss and I'll be amazed if any more than one survive to next year and the last will be gone by end of next year.

We've been left behind by Port, Doggies, The Roos and (on recent efforts) Brisbane who don't even have a coach FFS  :-[

Reckon the Bolt is a keeper.  Compare him to a young Travis Cloke or Tom Hawkins. 

Both had moments were they were great but were also ridiculously inconsistent. Each were considered "spuds", "waste of time", "trade bait" and yet both have gone on to play critical roles in Premiership wins for their clubs.   Cats & Pies would look pretty stupid if they'd move them on like many of their supporters thought they should. 

IMO, The Bolt will figure greatly in our future. A man mountain with some aggro, desperation to hit contests/opponents and a fabulous contested mark. His skills with ball in hand can be improved and so can his decision making, especially if he's given consistent game time.

I can. Last Saturday night at the G was the ultimate line-in-the-sand opportunity. The boys sure did put their heads down... while they were bent over letting the Bummers have their way with us AGAIN.  :-\

Who knows which Carlton will show up this week.  Decent injury list and plenty of inexperienced players likely to be named means its impossible to know.  Any odds on if Joseph and Duigan will get another game?  Perhaps its time for MM to unleash Laidler  ::)

I had to work last night and relied on occasional updates from mates.  Once I learned that Walker & Kruezer were late outs, replaced by Duigs and Joseph, I expected that they would jibb their way to a loss.

Not interested in watching the replay, I read a few game reviews when I got home and found myself to be strangely calm. This morning I thought I'd look at the aftermath on the board and realised that I feel nothing... not angry, not disappointed, nothing....  And its just hit me that my passion for the once mighty CFC has been beaten into submission and is now gone.  I can do this no more.  :-[

@ Iva: I've got myself a new avatar - Freddie is all your's.  8)

The avatars are under Profile - Forum Profile . Just select "Choose an option from the gallery" and you'll find Freddie under musicians (kind of like when he was alive I guess  ::) ) near the bottom of the list as Queen.  Enjoy!

Zed, you misunderstand me - I was being genuine. Didn't mean to cast aspersions or cause offence. Didn't even know there were standard avatar's we could choose from with the new site. If I'd have seen Freddie was an option I would have snaffled it.  Not for the first time my smart-arsed comments have backfired. And for the record, I'm a fan of George and Prince too!  8)

Great team effort after 1/4 time.  You guys have covered it all but I'll give my special mentions to 2E, Curnow, Robbo, Brock & the Bolt.  Oh, and Boots should not play again until next year - he looks skinnier in person than on TV.   :o

A while back I booked flights and reserve ticket upgrades to bring my son over for this game - his first chance to see the (once) mighty CFC at the MCG. 

As if our putrid form and the likely chance of a loss to the Tiges isn't bad enough, my sons favourite players are: Juddy (gawn), Garlett (probably out) and Murphy (in career worst form).  This could get ugly and may cost CFC a future life-time member... kids are easily scarred.  Hell I'm feeling pretty scarred.  We better put in a better effort than we did vs Doggies. 

Blues by 5pts (tell him he's dreaming).

same old same old. Blues manage to lose to a crap side, well below them on the ladder with nothing to play for when finals chance still there.

IMO forget the finals chance - its no secret we'd be making up the numbers - its the lack of mental toughness that's been a trademark of CFC since we got raped over the salary cap saga.

I'm over it. MM gets 2014 to show me that there's a chance we won't continue to be a laughing stock. If its more of the same I'm going to become a GCS member  >:(
