Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Rate the channel seven coverage of the game
Most of the commentator's statements are limited!
But Broadcasters from football to election talk a lot of what we call krap!

We have to sift and sort what is worthwhile.

Whereas you guys her, are blessed with insights that don't come from prejudice, but good blue-blooded common sense.

Keep effusing your wisdom!

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: "Bell Ready For Ringadingdinger" (One For Elwood)
The evaluation comments on this site say it all. Obviously Bell lacks to sophistication, but he bruises.

MickM is weighting up contribution of each and what is required to win.

Will the under-skilled Bell be in the team next week?

Whatever you think MickM!

You will get no criticism from me
- unless we lose

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: ELIMINATION FINAL : Ninth Beats Ninthmond (Ha Ha Ha Ending)
I liked MickM's comment that players contribute as they are. I think Bell lacks skills but he is in there trying and adding to balance.

Lot of Luck. You criticize Kreuzer, but he did some decisive ruck work, he competed and with a bit of luck could have pulled down a few.

Menzel is a game turning talent but luck did not present, but he did some nice things. I would not criticize Yarum, I thought he contributed - had circumstances been marginally different, he could have...

Robinson was great despite the clanger.

Duigan performed well but could be the replacement next week. It really is up to MickM and his mates.

As a team, they are to be congratulated.

Next week will be harder. Swans have more uniform talent, and apply unrelenting pressure. It will be Tiger effort plus 20% to knock them off!

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: ELIMINATION FINAL : Blues V Tigers (Pre-Game Patter)
It will be a hard battle on Saturday.  We had luck when we beat them last time - although kicking a lot of points.

I am not sure we are good enough where bodies are thrown in seeking advantage with the loose ball.

It will be an interesting match.

Bell did some good things last week, but is under-skilled in top company.

I am not sure what Mick is working with the rucks. We do not get enough advantage from our dominance and Kreuzer is a little at sea in the forward line.

Why was Levi in the team last week - with the other two rucking?

We have some good boys, but the team is not settled enough to go that much further forward.

I think we will beat the Tigers - but could go either way.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Rd 23: Post Game Party? Blues come home in the last!
You are dead right. Levi has to work on technique, and no gold star will be given to Carlton Forwards coach for neglecting Levi.

Hey, about Davey Ellard.  His stats were not impressive, except for the 7 tackles, one behind Matthew Kreuzer and one ahead of Ed Curnow who is a known one-percenter.

Typical Ellard and it shows why Kreuzer is so magnificient - as you don't expect a big fella to accumulate these stats!

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Simpson and that 'beard'
The Beard should stay,
he has been an absolute kamikaze since he got the bead
and a complete hero!

I am preparing a list of 21 other carlton players who should grow beards!

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Rd23 v Port Adelaide.
Hey,
Are we Juiced-Up and ready to fire for the Port Game?

The whole AFL is depressed by Hird's Shame, we can make the finals by default, so Saturday is a do-or-die game!
I don't sense any great enthusiasm?

Win tomorrow, then next week, the season is an outrageous success !
And we could win next week, we play Richmond, we all-but beat them twice!
The following week, probably Hawthorn - love to see Brett Ratten's face when we toss them! And you know, there is a part of Brett's heart which would be elated!
The Blues have legs !!

Where is the enthusiasm - the Carlton website, is as dead as dead as usual! For heaven's sake, get rid of the Professionals and employ some outrageous blue hearted ratbags to run that site!

The team has me bluffed Thryleon.

They work out a plan and execute it with dedication (for three quarters) and then, for no reason, they get run-down.

If they slipped into gear we will roll Port, and we will win at least the first week of the finals.

The Essendon loss was so disappointed. I hope the playing machine has the character to slip the brain into gear!

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Rd23 v Port Adelaide.
Are we geared up, juiced, and enthusiastic for Port?

We have to win this one and win well. Let's say that Essendon with the axe poised had something to prove.  In the stats they were ahead of us. But, it sad to have such a lead and let the game slip away.

Over to you Mick. Justify our trust!
