Hate StK so very happy to win it and feel quite ambivalent to JSOS and TDK - think it was an error they left and you wonder now of the future of the Silvagni legacy at Carlton. Its just a bit sad.
Maybe, just maybe JSOS might come back ala Justin Murphy, Eddie Betts style? But then what can he add to the team?
Two pretty significant changes in the past coupla months have been the disposal by foot and ability to change angles and use the entire ground - that's real hard to defend. And with such strong connection over the entire field our forwards are all now ...dangerous.
We are also tackling with intent. I haven't seen a Carlton team tackle to hurt in god knows how long. There were some passages of play they didn't want to take possession for fear of getting tackled with the ball. It's great to see.
It's amazing what happens when you kick straight! Kemp normally misses, head go down etc, etc. This game he kicks straight and look what happens. Simples!
