Was right in front of us, crowd went ballistic.That will be a highlight shown at our club for a long time to come. That not just one, but two guys made that chase and drilled Voss was exceptional.
And that Voss was pumbled in similar fashion later in the game should also be celebrated.
Apparently Kemp was practising his kicking for gaol before the game with the club pastor, Rev Stephen Webster, so divine intervention's not the answer.
Suggesting that his set shot kicking for goal possibly warrants a gaol sentence seems a bit harsh
Always nice to win but what about wanting it bad enough rather than just doing enough, get ahead then take the foot off the throat. Could have won by near anything we wanted but "chose" not to.
Where is that real fanatical desire we had in 5 of the first 6 weeks. The high pressure, the team defence. Not there the last 4 weeks. Shouldn't complain about 8-2 but I have...lol. 9 wins equals last year.
Just start with the simple stuff, improve our kicking for goal and we’d probably have beaten them.You dont need me to tell you Cookie as you have watched plenty of football over the journey that unfortunately players who are poor to average field or goal kicks rarely improve and you have to usually go out and recruit better kicking players.
Plenty of other issues of course but getting the basics right would be a good start.
Stewart Lowe is about the only player I can remember who went from being a poor kick for goal to a very reliable kick later in his career. Earl Spalding perhaps is another who improved in our last premiership year....seems like a century ago🤔😉.
Goalkicking has killed us tonight. At some stage it was going to be costly.
