The Sports Desk / Re: God help me - the Test Cricket thread
Last session from Oz stank, awful captaincy, over bowled Starc and Boland (bowling rubbish ATM) and stalled all day with woeful over rates.  Felt English effort average - wickets given away with windy drives and Stokes bbq'ed.  They will end up a bit short I reckon.

Some people on this site regard KPP as less important than they have been, but a lot of them got targeted and sought after by clubs this year....Jamarra, JSOS, Charlie, the lad from Swines to Collingwood.  Large % of the trades if you ask me. If they are so "unimportant", why did club go after them?

The media blow torch will be on full heat until we re-sign Voss and Walsh.
Like hungry sharks the vermin in the football media detect the faintest trace of blood in the water, then the frenzy starts. Nothing sells papers like (yet another) Carlton $hit storm

Seems like BS to me, designed to narrow the points gap and create a grandstand finish at the last event

Intent was a touch different between batting day 1 vs. Day 2.
English bowling, which was as good as day one, was putrid day 2.  Pace was down and tactics abysmal.  Fast short and wide is dumb, and they just doubled down on it.

Four years to get ready for this series and they look underprepared....opening pair is a mess, batting looks stale and mentally weak, and bowling (Starc aside) looks at sixes and sevens...same as last year, mugged in the first test by a better prepared side.

But apparently it's a scam, a hoax,  and it's an issue for the democrats to own up to and be concerned about....dunno, he seemed pretty chummy with a certain high profile pedo in the photos going around.

Kinda like Mark Waugh and more than a few others from that state.
Consistency sets the greats apart from the also rans.
I don't see what the selectors see in Green, Webster is a heart and soul team man. He may not have Greens talent but he's stood up when required thus far.
