Respectable performance against the hawks. Who was leading the way?
Judd
Carrazzo
Casboult
Gibbs deserves a mention too.
Judd
Casboult
Robinson
Hate to say it but this ^^^. :P
Murphy or Judd, not in the best three but I thought Tuohy's game was good.
We only had a couple who put in bad ones.
Yep.
Not close to our best, but thought Rowe did well big improvement from his first few games down back.
Judd
Casboult
Rowe....is now my fav player and continues to improve.
Apologies to Gibbs who was handy and to Robbo who was very useful down forward and like Casboult kicked straight.
I went for Judd, Gibbs and Casboult.
I couldn't put Carrazzo in my best three (or five) because most of his kicks/handballs were up and unders that gave Hawthorn time to intercept, put pressure on the receiver, force a stoppage and/or set up defensively. Carrazzo was great defensively and got the pill a lot, but his delivery hurt us.
I seem to recall you thought we should have picked up Jordan Murdoch instead?
do you still feel that way?
That's behind us now and I'm loving what Rowe brings.
But if you look at the sort of players we REALLY need, Jordan Murdoch would fit the mould exactly.
The Hawks have about 4 J Murdochs.
I would have still picked Murdoch.....we could have taken Rowe as a late or rookie pick, I dont seem to remember any other club
wanting Sam at the time.
A left footer around the 6'3" mark who can run and kick the footy well is probably what the game is about these days.....
Rowe is a fav because he gives effort and improves each week....you have to like what he bring after fighting illness and a ordinary start to his second crack at AFL.
Rowe has definitely improved out of sight. His confidence has grown and he now takes marks as well as spoiling. His attack on the ball has improved as well. The question is can he add another trick to his game and become a really good player rather than a Mick Martyn type smotherer
Yep and we draft 5' 10" blokes that aren't deadest guns and lack standout skills and pace. Sorry, but the game is like the NBA now, if you're below 6' you need to be beyond good.... so much for the game for "all shapes and sizes".
