We could win this game, weird as that sounds. GWS have dropped their bundle over the last few weeks and are playing insipid footall.
We will be without Murphy, who has a dislocated shoulder. We may be missing Jamo and Kreuzer. We have very little left to bring up, but funnier things have happened.
The game is in Sydney on Saturday at 1345. I am pretty sure the game will not be on free to air TV.
I won't be at the game, nor the next one: I am having surgery on Thursday. Barrack hard for me please!
Fingers crossed for you crash!
Stick Jones back in and we should lose. He has that impact on the clubs results.
Thanks, mate. I will be following by computer, as soon as I am allowed to sit in front of one. ;D ;D ;D
If Jamo and Kreuzer don't come up, Jones may be our only remaining KPP left to promote. We may have less than 5 Blues in the VFL next week.
We simply MUST lose this game. If we don't, we have rocks in our head.
I can't see how we could win with the list we have available, but I thought that against Melbourne. It just goes to show that the players never tank, no matter how things go in the other departments.
Hope it's only routine and nothing serious - all the best matey.
As to the game, looking forward to 2 in a row. This mob is definitely beatable.
I doubt GWS will be as limp as the Go Dees. We'll experience genuine opposition this week. Back in Oz, arrived today and will be at that game.
Thanks for the good wishes.
I don't know what is going to happen with us this weekend, now that we appear to be naming our new coach. I fear what it will do to our present coaching staff, especially Barker. I have no idea whether we will be 'turned on' on not.
If Kreuzer and Jamison don't play there's no way we'll win.
We stopped dead when Murphy went off last Sunday and he'll miss as well, stranger things have happened but I think it will be a 5 or 6 goal loss.
Casboult should probably play so that will boost our tall stocks to some little extent but even if he plays minus Jamo and Krooze our talls will be him, Wood, Rowe, Watson, Jaksch and probably Jones.
That lot wouldn't worry a decent VFL side.
If Jamo and Kruz are out, I presume Rowe gets another game for us... he is awful.
But better than Jones or Watson.
I hope this Weitering is as good as they say.
No Murphy, No Casboult, No Jaksch, Kruezer and Jammo have doubt.
Jones at FB, Watson at FF, what would have been the odds of that happening during the pre season?
If GWS lose this they need to be investigated for tanking.
OUT: Murphy (inj), Jaksch (inj), Jamison (conc.), Menzel (inj), Ellard (omit)
IN: Holman, Jones, Fields, Armfield, Yaz
GWS by plenty.
All scripted nicely.
And that isn't even considering the likelihood Kreuzer may not play.
Armfield is also a risk we don't NEED to take. More likely to play Smith.
Bugger it! Chuck Giles in and see how he goes!!!
Jones may be the Savior this week....kicks 6 and wins us the game :o
Perfect time to bring him in. Wouldn't wanna do that in R23 against the hawkers.
Giles has played two halves in two weeks in the development league after missing 2 years with a foot injury.
I'm not sure a full game ( sometimes subs have to come on early) should be part of his rehab program.
Unless we see him out on the ground, all the rehab might be for nothing. No guarantees to be on the list next year.
I reckon he'll have a program for his rehab Kruds.
He's not going anywhere. Will be retained I would think.

Great to see he has the confidence to go for his grabs, really hope he can come next year
We don't want to win the game!
That will never happen or I will eat my hat.
Yarran Back
In: Yarran, Walsh, Wood
Out: Murphy (shoulder), Carrazzo (toe), Jaksch (ankle)
Fk me has Carrots played his last game for Carlton? 'Tis a sad day if so.
Good to see Yazz back in, it will be very interesting to see what sort of attitude he brings to the game.
I don't think we've got any chance, what sort of injury has Nick Graham got by the way?
I was hoping to see him get a sustained run of games towards the end of this season.
I think he'll go around again next year if he gets through the pre season OK.
Stress foot fracture.
I think Carrots is going to be an umpire next year B4L.
I'd say so.
No point bringing him back for a flogging in R23.
His time is done, his body is no longer up to AFL football.
In case that comment would be taken as 'biased'....let me justify that comment by saying this.
In the past 5 years, Jarrad Waite has played more games than Carrazzo! :o
Nah I agree his time has come. Just would've been nice to see him lead the team off in his final game or he at least be acknowledged. Interestingly, he hasn't announced his retirement so maybe he's clinging on to the hope he gets another year. I guess you couldn't rule it out.
Bummer, he was just starting look like he belonged in the AFL.
I think we'll get smashed on the weekend even if Cripps plays another blinder, no forwards apart from Walker, no class mids apart from Cripps, no tall defenders apart from Jamo.
It was good while it lasted but we've won our last game for the season.
He contacted the umpires earlier in the year.
Has been to at least 1 'training' session for the umps that i'm aware of.
He will not be wearing navy blue next year, unless the bush league umps wear it.
He's a smart guy, smart guys always have a plan B. Surely he would've announced his retirement by now if he wanted to retire? Or maybe he will announce it next week.
I'd say Carrazzo will retire...been a good servant and good luck to him umpiring..
He is completely shot, I don't reckon his body will hold up for even umpiring.
I think Carrazzo is being rested for a farewell game against Hawks.
Carrots has struggled with injury the last few years and is probably gone.
I just hope he is fit for a finale against the Hawks. He has been a great player for a long time for us.
x2 loyal servant but legs are rooted and needs to drop some serious muscle to umpire.
Why we haven't signed him up as an assistant is beyond me, why he wants to umpire instead of almost certainly walking into a bunch of clubs as an assistant is beyond me.
Assistant coaches work longer hours than players, umps and administrators. Umps are part timers and have other jobs. He'd be able to do corp stuff and media if he likes.
Generally you become an assistant if you are a) a footy head or b) have aspirations of being a head coach or both.
He doesn't strike me as a footy head.
From memory he's an electrician? Could have his own business and umpiring on the side?
Cables by Carrots + Drew's Dodgy Decisions.
Fark me, imagine going to work on a Monday and having Chamberlin sit down next to you.
Ahh, that got a chuckle out of me....well done.
What if the boys decide they want to "Win it for Barks." ???
Could be an interesting day :D
Plowman and Palmer both playing for GWS...how convenient :) I guess they can hello to their new team-mates and their old team-mates can fatten up the deal by making Lachie and Rhys look good with some easy ball coming their way....
Does anyone know where to get a live stream of the game? Cheers.
I was trying to find out.....its bloody hopeless. ...there is no source of information which media outlets broadcast the game..
The afl phone app is garbage
I think I might use a VPN to get an international weekly pass through the AFL site.
Just searched c7 melbourne delayed broadcast from 3pm
If you don't mind the old wireless, or have a soft spot for it as I do, you can listen to the game via the AFL website.
Why aren't we getting games into Holman?
