Last week 14 Carlton players were named and 7 actually played. This week 8 Carlton players are named. I wonder how many will actually take the field?
Very nice to see Armfield out there. I hope he is over his injury. (Please excuse the spelling mistakes: I'm still under the influence of the strange chemicals I was given in Hospital.)

I note with interest that Giles is NOT named in this side this week. I don't know what that may mean, but I don't like it.
Half of our guys will have to introduce each other to the rest before the game.
Kreuzer had the same stuttered return so it might not be an issue.
Geelong Cats 5.2 9.5 15.8
Northern Blues 2.1 3.5 3.5
Not good.
GOALS: Jones 2, Johnson.
DISPOSALS: Cattapan 23, Wilson 17, Perry 15, Strachan 13, Jones 12.
Actually, I wonder how many senior list players are playing?
I had to ask: Fields, Jones, Holman, Johnson, Russell, Viojo-Rainbow
Armfield was a late withdrawal.
Now they are missing Aurrichio as well: he went off after a heavy knock.
Walton has a goal, and we have a few more points as well. Playing a bit better.
Goal to Rainbow. Aurrichio back on and took a strong mark.
Russell goals only moments after missing a set shot. Still well behind, but making a good fist of it this quarter.
Goal to Geelong, but then Waltom gets another.
Game over. We lost. No surprise there, but we did show a bit in the last.

What happened to Walton's goal? Oh well, Jones had 18 disposals. Maybe he can come in next week? (Wouldn't that be a gift to the Hawks?)
They can have him back....for the rest of his career AFAIC
A good player would see the Hawks as a challenge and want to show the new coach what he can do...big chance for Jones to kick start his career by turning up to play like his life depends on it..
Horlin-Smith is an interesting player for Geelong, everytime I see him play he does well but like Kersten spends a fair amount of time playing twos footy....
What's happening with Bailey Rice? Didn't play for NBs and not named to play for Dandenong.
Not sure what goes there. He didn't play for us last week.
Injured?
Aren't they (u18's) restricted on the number of vfl games they can play ?
Don't think he's playing U18 either though.
