Title: Round 14 Green Shoot of the Week
Post by: townsendcalling on June 26, 2017, 12:02:06 pm
A Challenge in a Challenging Week!

Choose ONE ONLY Green Shoot you observed from the game.  Can be a player, passage of play and individual effort, any ONE Shoot that put a smile ???? on your face.

Ive got 2.

1.  Charlie Curnow.

2.  The absence of the kids like Williamson, Fisher, and Cunningham affected our team in a way that shows that we have picked up some good players there.

He may not have been as good as the previous couple of weeks but Jones... for a few reasons.

1) He's showing more confidence in going for his marks as opposed to just spoiling (could still build on that though)
2) When he attacks the ball I know we're at least going to get a contest.
3) It would have been difficult for any Carlton defender yesterday the way the ball kept coming in but he was still trying his best right up until the end.
4) He led both sides for 1% ers  (10... next best Rance and Kreuzer on 6)

Can i add matthew Kreuzer??

Career best form, and seems to be moving on track to be AA ruckman if he keeps up his form.  Worth remembering that he missed the Port game.

Another one for Charlie.

Certainly wasn't much green sprouting amongst that lot. ;)

We were horrible, putrid, lethargic, playing a potential top 6 team and were in it until we failed to take a mark in the goal square in the last quarter.....and we only lost by approx 4 goals.

Green shoot.... even when we are bad, we don't get smashed to the extreme.
