Probably our 2nd last game for the season, we play Adelaide at 1305 at Metricon on Sunday.
We are not on free-to-air TV.
Not sure how to look at things. Adelaide have been improving. We're unpredictable.
Spanner thinks we will lose. It is not impossible.
It looks like we've lost Martin, which hurts us.
McKay for them has been rubbed out for a week.
Hopefully Gibbons/Kennedy back in for us....and probably Eddie. Outs maybe Owies/Cunningham/Martin (injured).
Crouch Boys and Laird had a day out for the Crows vs GWS, think we will play a lot tighter than GWS who like it free wheeling and who have lost the plot under Cameron.
Himmelberg and the out of form Walker shouldnt provide many problems, Stengle and McAdam will probably be more dangerous.
Talia and Hartigan are decent defenders but the Crows are all about the midfield if they are to win....Sloane is still a decent player but they dont have anyone to play on Cripps who has the size, Keays will probably get the job but I cant see the Crows getting within 5 goals unless their mids fire up again.
Owies gets another go.
Bam Bam and Gibbo for Cuners and the Guv.
We know Bam Bam can play inside but is also a good lead up forward. Smart player imo. And has a work ethic.
Would like Honey and/or Philp to have another game or two but who for? Cottrell had a poor game bar that moment?
Or does LOB get look in and rest Simmo or Murph for the Brisvegas game?
Martin won't play.
Cunners stays.
If we're serious about winning McG cannot play. Martin is out with a calf and Doc is sus. Cottrell wasn't real good either but he gets a pass because of "that" goal I guess. Owies didn't thrill me either but he'll probably get the 2 match run. So maybe 4 outs? Kennedy should get a go now. Maybe Gibbons if he's fit? Probably Eddie. Leaves one more and I'd give Polson another go as I didn't think he was that bad last start.
Out:Martin, Doc, Cunningham, Owies
In: Kennedy, Gibbons, Eddie, Marchbank.
Will need to play better then last night to beat them. They are going for 3 in a row and are playing well enough to knock us over if we off.
Need to start well.
What's the problem with Doc??? Russell didn't say anything in his report............
Ch 7 showed him coming out of a place after having scans on his calf.
I hope Cuningham doesn't stay in, had enough of his unreliability and softness.
Everyone so keen to drop Cunningham after one game back. With no Martin we will need some outside pace.
Since this game against the Bombers he has been playing as a small forward. 72/28 (Offensive Half/Defensive Half). I haven't really watched him enough to see what role he is playing. Defensive half forward? Not sure.
I would like to see him more on ball.
Anyside with B.Crouch, M.Crouch, Sloane, O'Brien, Laird and B.Smith is dangerous. Their early season form wasn't a reflection of their ability. This is no easy game as the Giants could tell you
Marchbank is done for the year.
Have a close look at his last few games, very disappointing. Very apparent the cheats.com.au game was something of an aberration, sadly. The kid has loads of talent but seems to lack initiative, tenacity, consistency. Against the Midgets on Tuesday I don't think one of his tackles was successful... no pinning of arms or determination in the tackle - more like a dance at the Saturday night square dance.
I always ask myself, could you trust this guy in a GF... nuh. Most of our blokes now you could confidently answer yes, as they would give their all at very least. Like McGovern, he's getting gigs on reputation, not form. Winning teams don't accommodate that mindset.
Not so sure.

I think you'll find it very hard to mount a case for the contribution of Cuningham over the years he's been at the club. Barring injury, he's never been able to cement a spot in the side... for very good reasons. Like everyone I wish he could string games together showcasing his talent, but he never has.
Gibbs retiring, to play his last game on Sunday. Gee it would have been fitting if Kruze could play the same game and both be chaired off together.
I find it pretty easy.
His game against the Bombers shows what he can do. Only managed to piece together 36 games.
We need bloke that can run and carry. That's Cunningham.
ADELAIDE'S Bryce Gibbs will play his final AFL game against his former club Carlton on Sunday.
AFL.com.au understands Gibbs has informed his teammates he will retire at season's end.
It is believed Gibbs and the club have come to a settlement to cease the final year of his contract for 2021.
Think we all knew the Crows would pay Gibbs out and not prolong the agony any longer...be interesting to see what he will
do next if he stays in football.
I'd take him back.
1 year deal.
He's getting a (at least partial) payout from ADL for 2021. Still a firm no from me.
Not sure we can carry a bloke who plays one good game in 36. ;) ;D
Carried plenty of others. ;)
He'd obviously need to show he still wanted to play.....
But if we were in a final in 2020 with minutes to play who would you prefer delivering the ball to inside 50?
Gibbs, Dow, Cottrell, O'Brien......
Quite frankly (and again presuming he still has the desire), I'd prefer him on our list in 2021 than Simmo.
Let's be honest, he was an easy whipping boy at the Crows as soon as that camp fiasco stuff dragged on and needed a scapegoat for their poor onfield efforts.
Big test for De Koning this week, O'Brien is in red hot ruck form at the moment, quite mobile and hard at the contest.
I think De Koning can hurt them by pushing hard into F50 and having O'Brien follow.
Still a thumbs down ... contract = (mandated) money. In any event, reckon he's settled in ADL
And it's time it stopped. Time to set the bar and tolerance much higher.
Plus lists are reduced next year anyway.
Still do, we should be sponsored by Linfox..

No Talia.
Talls down back for them Hartigan @194cm and 1 game rookie Butts at 198cm.
Jim you cant tell me there wouldnt be a rookie list spot for him on min wages. Out Moore in Gibbs. In any case, it all depends on his state of mind and it sounds to me like his mind is cooked and may be happy to just run around in the SANFL.
Also depends on whether he can move back to Melb or not, I would doubt it.
Forecast is good.
Sunday 13 September
SummaryMin 14Max 24Partly cloudy.Chance of any rain: 10%
Brisbane area
Partly cloudy. Light winds becoming easterly 15 to 20 km/h during the afternoon then becoming light during the evening.
Still spends on list sizes. Doubt Moore will be there anyway with a smaller list size.
GTC You cant be serious about Gibbs, you havent been on the homemade grappa again?😉😎
Okay, can someone leak the rumour to McGovern that 'Roo' said they were glad he was gone as he under performed and was made to look good by the players around him. Apparently the Crows don't rate him.
No need for a rumour?

To be fair to Ricciuto both players have been underwhelming.....
He was 100% spot on. Not normally said in public.
Someone needs to remind him before tomorrow.
DJ I'm 100% serious and grappa free, I would have him back (with conditions) but realistically, he's retired and cooked. If you had to choose between Moore for another years or Gibbs for a year, who would you choose?
IN
Eddie Betts
Lochie O'Brien
Michael Gibbons
OUT
Jack Martin
(Injured)
Matthew Cottrell
(Omitted)
Matthew Owies
(Omitted)
I hope the three ins can contribute more than they have in the past. Ditto Cunningham, McMoneybags and SPS. We cannot carry 5-6 players who just run out and do SFA like they usually do.
The Crows are much improved over the last 2 weeks, very different to the rest of their season. But this should be a comfortable win for us.
SPS? In the coaches votes last week SPS?
Dont worry.
He has a spanner-murphy like obsession with sps.
Adelaide
In: J.Butts, B.Gibbs, B.Frampton, T.Lynch
Out: L.Murphy (omitted), D.Mackay (suspension), T.Walker (leg), D.Talia (managed)
Few big out for the Crows.
So Cuningham and McGovern have both been rewarded for poor games with senior selection. I reckon McGovern could go out there, suck his thumb in the forward pocket for 80 minutes, walk off at the end and still get selected. Reward mediocrity and guess what you get more of?
Betts in for Gibbs' last game is fair enough. Owies makes way for him, no big deal.
Gibbons fit, means he is in. Better in the midfield than Cottrell.
Martin out injured means we need more run. Polson had a go, Dow too, now its down to OBrien. Not who i would've chosen, but hey, lets see what he can do.
Three good Crow outs for us , maybe Frampton might come alive and win them the game...😉
Yep. FYI I never said SPS didnt play well last week, just that he only does every 6 weeks.
Are Adelaide flying in on the day?? Early start for them if they are, given it’s a 1:05 start.
Ok, a 90pt win has us jump above Melbourne...lol.
Just wish 90pts wasn't so hard to kick.
Turn a large % of the misses into goals and it not impossible. As we keep saying, we get it in plenty, one day it will all click.
