I have a lot of older movies on DVD.
I have the entire Hitchcock selection.
Everything Kubrick has ever done.
Some of the original horror movies from Nosferatu, Dracula, Wolf man etc etc

Still...i only seem to watch those same movies when i come across them on the streaming services.
I recently watched a few hitchock movies on Stan. Ditto Kubrick.

These are probably your more high profile older movies, which might be easier to find, but they are generally out there.
I watched an old 50's sci-fi one called the Magnetic Monster on stan a little while back which i hadn't seen before.
Depends what you are after.

Years ago when I was travelling a lot for work we would come across Laser Discs in Asia, these were the bright gold LP sized pre-cursors of the DVD. You really only saw them in any quantity in Japan or Singapore, but in those countries they were super popular. One of the managers decided to buy himself one, and bring it back to Aust. The downside you had to import the discs from OS as hardly anybody stocked them locally. He was a bit of a movie buff, maybe an understatement, the last time I saw him years and years ago he'd amassed a huge collection, literally thousands of them with wall to wall bedroom sized library covered in discs. I wonder what happened to them, somebody scored the lot after he passed. Usually collections like that end up in a museum or public library.

I just watched 'Old Henry' on Amazon, really enjoyed it. An excellent western staring Tim Blake Nelson, I don't watch many films these days but this is one I could recommend.

I used to know a guy who had a huge collection of movies,  many of them classics of the 30s, 40s and 50s, all on VHS. He and his wife would spend hours watching them.  I sometimes wonder if he still has the collection and whether it would have survived the ravages of time.
