Game played in Perth at 15:05 at Mineral Resources Park (wherever that is).
We've never played the Weagles before in the AFLW. I hope we can come back after last week's embarrassment.
Our line-up:
Backs: Jess Dal Pos Vaomua Laloifi
Half-backs: Keeley Skepper Harriet Cordner Gab Pound
Centreline: Marianna Anthony Abbie McKay Amelia Velardo
Half-forwards: Phoebe McWilliams Maddy Hendrie Breann Moody
Forwards: Mia Austin Darcy Vescio
Followers: Jess Good Mimi Hill Brooke Vickers
Interchange: Keeley Sherar Lily Goss Taylor Ortlepp Gen Lawson-Tavan Erone Fitzpatrick
Our girls had a productive q2 in warm conditions. 6 v 34. Moody in the middle of the ground and Good up forward providing a strong contest. Goss, Skepper, Sherar playing well. Alongside the veterans Dal Pos and Vescio๐๐ผ
Regroup, hydrate, and go again. Hopefully their stamina endures the conditions.
Go Blues
53 pt win to our gals. Great stuff. Picked up the lost % from last week.
Convincing win away in the sun. 24 v 77
Well done ๐๐ผ
Good win by the girls.
Did what they needed to do against IMO the worst opposition in the league.
I doubt we'll see another win like that for the year.....but i'm happy to be proven wrong.
Hopefully get Kez back soon.
The opposition may have been below par but that's still a good win.
The Weagles went down to Freo by 8 points in the first round and the Suns got hold of them by 73 points last week. Interestingly, our first round victims downed Collingwood by two goals and I think that we may be more competitive than the North result suggested.
Great efforts by Skepper, Hill, Good, Moody and McKay, and we've found a player in Erone Fitzpatrick.

I think that Bucky has now got the mix right with Moody. She is too good around the ground to be stagnating in the forward line and too much of a threat not to spend time as a forward.
Bit better than last week.
Moody and Good combined and alternated roles to advantage. Some of the ruck taps went as far as a kick. Although I've no idea about their opponents.
