Gold Coast also lost last weekend.
Looks like the Vescio to midfield didn’t last too long…
Got a fair bit of ball in the pre-season up the ground. Doesn't get a lot as a forward: we don't get it down there very well.
I don't like what I've seen thus far this year Crash
I suspect our AFLW is suffering a bit of the same issues as our AFL did for over a decade, too much and too frequent change, it resets the clock, causes instability and wastes careers.
We've had some mighty good players come and go, turned over a lot of coaching and support staff, it hurts progress.
ABout as long as it did in years past when they tried it.
She was largely useless up the ground. Not sure how much of that was conditions, but looks like we will never find out.
I'm not sure the 3 ruck combination worked either.
Bree Moody was named at FF, but started in the ruck.
Celine Moody didn't do much of anything anywhere, expected more.
Jess Good did plenty of rucking but didn't influence the game.
I'd like to see 1 used as ruck.
1 used as key forward
1 used as key back
We need them all over the ground, but it looks like there is no system in place as to who plays where.
A friends daughter was playing for the Hawks last week.
Pretty solid young lass with big strong thighs and she uses them.
Something we haven’t had since Prespakis left, a strong bodied mid.
Name?
Mimi Hill is strong enough, but is usually best on the outside.
Prespakis didn't have the attributes to play outside though.
I'd hoped for more from Maddy Guerin coming back from an ACL, but she looked down on form. She could be the next big thing if she gets fit. Had her fair share of injuries over the journey but looked to be taking the next step before her last knee.
4 Mattea Breed.
Our slim mids don’t bounce too well when someone like Breed comes through to collect the ball, she’s also not slow and was prepared to take our girls on.

Good to come home against the breeze. None of our 3 rucks had big days: Bree Moody took a brilliant mark and kicked the goal, but didn't do a lot. Celine got injured. Good got taps.
Really liking Skepper. She is a terrier that puts her body on the line despite being rather slight compared to most.
There was also a huge tackle by one of our girls, a forward who i cannot remember right now.
With such limited list sizes there is only ever 9 players on the list who are not in the side.
Usually you have about 3-4 injuries, so its about who misses out as much as who you pick.
This is meaning we will continue to play the 3 rucks, as well as taller players at either end.
Unfortunately we haven't seen a whole lot from Celine so far which is disappointing as we needed more talented talls, but she appears to be 3rd in line behind Good and her sister......and by a fair way which is a worry.
Still good to a get a win over (slightly) better opposition.
I'll take it while i can.
