Title: Where to buy Australian Opals in Melb

I have some relos from OS staying with us and they want to buy a necklace with an Aussie opal in it. Does anyone on here have any experience  purchasing them from someone reputable here in Melb?
Any advice appreciated.

My brother in law is a retired jeweller and he sourced an excellent opal to replace a cracked opal in a ring with sentimental value.  I’ll see if he has any recommendations.

Of course, my brother in law dealt with wholesale jewellers but he reckons that Cody Opals is your best bet.  They are at:
Level 1, 119 Swanston St Melbourne.  Phone 9654 5533.  You probably won’t be able to access that showroom.

They have a retail outlet in The Walk Arcade off Bourke St.
