I have this feeling that might the last we will see of a lead. We look so disorganised.
Watching us kick out from 50 as well as kicking into the 50 is diabolical. no system at all. like watching a team without a coach.
Before this game, we had led more games than any other team at 1/4 time 2025-2026 season. The trend continues.
Unfortunately, a stat that followed soon after is that we have the most losses from a team that had the lead at quarter time.....and there was a fair gap to 2nd.
Wonder if the trend will continue
We need to get the balance of fast and slow plays right. Players need to be aware of their surroundings before making the decision to go or stop.

In the NFL, the tactics are huge. The way you play in the 1st half, sets up how you want to play in the 2nd half. Without getting too in depth, you do things repeatedly to get the opposition used to you doing things a certain way, then you switch it up later and catch them unaware.
IMO, the way we handle kickins very much has a similar look.
I reckon after half time, there will be a lot more run, carry and attack the middle from kickins.
For now, we are setting up the 'hug the boundary' kickout strategy.
The trick here is not to get too far ahead, or maybe even drop a few ponts behind at half time

The good passages of play and the skilled thinking and play by Cowan, Newman, Cerra, Elijah, Jagga and Walsh makes me believe… then unfortunately Florent seems to think and do too slowly, Harry just getting towelled up and not being in the contest anymore, Ollie kicking into the oppo… then that takes you back to more reality.
I like the fight of Byrne, Derks has had a tough initiation, Weiters seems well off to me?
As if we needed any more evidence the first half showed that we are so average. Unfortunately, all of these players are VFL or therabouts

We Carltonise players. Good players not so long ago. They went from good players to Carlton players....lol.
We lay legal tackles and go unrewarded that result in opposition goals, they try to break tackles and fail and it's a ball up or play on, we get taken out in the contest illegally multiple times and it's play on.
Try as you may, you can't defeat the umpiring it always always wins.
They scored 3 goals this quarter from dodgy decisions, make that 4, OH was just legged without a free being awarded in D50.

ABout time we got that.
That was a free kick against Evans last week that turned the game.
The umpire in front of the Evans contact didn't call the free, directly watching it, it was the remote umpire that came in.
I think it was Cerra who was tackled/legged......but no free kick.
F*** me....what have we done to piss off the footy gods.

No sling tackle on Jagga? Just about had his neck broken!
Smith dumped in sling tackle, no free, yet it was paid twice for far less earlier in the game.

Silence was deafening....and we were all right.
You can't defeat that sh1zen @Kruddler, and if you don't make a scene about it you are screwed because the umpires now have the anticipation to defeat us, the same mindset that is bringing our players undone affects adjudication.
It's OK to bang on about what we do and don't do, but you can't let that rubbish slide.
