Title: Tony Modra Fighting for Life
Post by: Gointocarlton on June 18, 2026, 10:54:56 pm
Tony Modra is fighting for life after his cattle truck hit a tree. Been airlifted to hospital but is not in a good way with life threatening injuries.
Thoughts and prayers are with Mods and his family.

It sounds like he's in with a chance now.  Let's hope so!

Yes, we pray for him. A freak accident it seems, a tree branch came down and pierced his windscreen resulting in severe facial injuries, Interestingly the lady who stopped found him wondering around bleeding heavily and he managed to pull the truck up so he had his faculties about him. Apparently was on the phone to his wife who heard the incident and all the aftermath. Shocking.

Met him in a nightclub in cairns (of all places), once, and he was a bit of a flog (very happy with himself), with his brother as a wingman enabling the flogness.   But, fck me, did I love watching him play, what a superstar.  Get well Mods!!!

mil...i don't wish I'll of anyone but his brother and his old man - let's just say that the Riverland locals probably have a few tales that's the Crows et al  wish stay buried, like the country footballers of old.
