Post by: crashlander on June 27, 2026, 06:15:59 pm
Saturday night, 4th July, at 19:35 at the MCG.
We owe Richmond a pounding or two. It is time we collected.

I think Rich will trouble us more than WC did today. I hope the trend of taking every opponent seriously every week irrespective of where they are on the ladder continues. If we take them lightly or treat them with contempt, we will do so out our peril.

Indeed, Richmond have played their best football against us for the last couple of years, much to my irritation. I don't want us to take them lightly, but I do want us to give them a day they want to forget.

Pitto has struggled against Nankervis in the past, and we have not much of a plan B for that situation. Also Richmond will have Lynch back, and he won't kick that badly again.
If Weitering were playing, Lynch wouldn't get a kick, but Weitering isn't going to play. Dean and Derksen will need to be on their game!

As good as Dean and Derksen have been, I'd imagine Lynch would monster them.
