Voting is as usual: you have 15 votes to award pretty much as you will, with the following provisos:
[1] 15 votes in total, no more, no less.
[2] No more than 10 votes for any one player (even Sam Walsh or Patrick Cripps)
[3] Three players at least must get a mention.
[4] A grade for the game, A+ (what I want to see) to F-.

I just realized I hadn't voted yet. Not that it would be a fun process after last week's capitulation, but ...
AFL 2026 Rd 18 Carlton vs Hawthorn
Team: E
Our last half was pretty ordinary, very disappointing. Our first half wasn’t that bad: without the umps we would have been inn the game.
Unfortunately, our structural deficiencies and lack of skills were very much on show.
Votes:
[5] Sam Walsh
[3] Adam Cerra
[2] Jagga Smith
[1] Mitch McGovern
[1] Nic Newman
[1] Harry Dean
[0.5] Talor Byrne
[0.5] Francis Evans
[0.5] Nick Haynes
[0.5] Wade Derksen
Explanations:
[5] Sam Walsh: Easily our best player, Sam managed a game high 35 possessions to a losing ruck, 4 tackles and 7 clearances.
[3] Adam Cerra: Adam went into the midfield when George went off (after George started very strongly) and managed 27 possessions and 14 tackles.
[2] Jagga Smith: A good game from Jagga without being dominant. 20 possessions, 6 tackles and 3 clearances.
[1] Mitch McGovern: Our only reasonably effective forward for the night, Mitch managed to get marks and kick goals when others couldn’t get a kick.
[1] Nic Newman: Not Nic’s best game, but he was one of our better players. 27 possessions and 6 tackles.
[1] Harry Dean: Harry was more than decent in defence.
[0.5] Talor Byrne: Talor showed more than a little, he was dangerous when others just weren’t. His kicking needs serious work.
[0.5] Francis Evans: A big effort from Frankie that was generally unrewarded.
[0.5] Nick Haynes: Not as good as he has been, but still one of our better players.
[0.5] Wade Derksen: Did a pretty good job.
Honourable Mentions:
Flynn Riley: Flynn was badly beaten by Meek, but he wasn’t embarrassed. His goal was brilliant and he was reasonable in the air. Showed that he had a future, even though he was beaten.
Lachie Cowan: Like a lot of our defenders, Lachie was reasonable without being as dominant as he has been.
Billy Wilson: Not as much run and carry, and a couple of bad disposal errors, but Wilson did a pretty good job defensively.
Patrick Cripps: 21 possessions and 7 clearances would normally not be that bad. However, for Crippa he was definitely down. The ball was not being tapped to anywhere where he could get it. 9 tackles.
