Amiss and Switkowski out for them
Apparently three players from their last round team didn't make the flight today.
We have Young and Hollands in for the two injuries, Hayward and Haynes.
So we didn't rest anyone.
Freo is "managing" Amiss, Switkowski and Heath Chapman.
Even with Wilbur and the Fossil out, Freo's hubris means we're in with a decent chance.
Surprised they managed a few with a bye next week.
Surprised we picked hollands. Suppose the VFL side are playing their wildcard this weekend so maybe wanted to keep the continuity with their regulars. Seniors, on the other hand, have a dead rubber of sorts, so maybe Hollands got dropped to the seniors....haha.
Our blokes rested for the first 10 rounds, go hard or go home.

Big outs for us, Haynes has been important mopping up and intercepting, and his ball use is smart
Also an old wise head that understands the state of play. It was he who pointed out that only a draw was needed, and we just had to play keepings off.
I think with Young for Haynes, we are better balanced.
Last week i suggested Weitering come in for Haynes instead of Young, essentially whats happened now over 2 weeks.
Hope it works.
Kemp needs to play another blinder.
No dropped marks and needs to kick straight.

Dogs took a while to adjust. They were setting up like we were going for the win when we had the ball, and were confused when we started milking the clock. They eventually worked it out that a draw was enough for us but by then we got to take quite a bit of time off the clock.

Playing with your form is always fraught with danger. It certainly didn't help us back in the 90's.
But, it is what it is.
Charleson can't be too far away, to be Emergency again.
I wonder which of the Emergencies won't play VFL?
Playing for the draw was the right thing to do, and it suited the dogs enough too, but part of me wishes we had the fortitude to go win the game.
Any excuse to play Ben E King and the better version of "Stand By Me". ;) :D
Pittonet plays his 100th AFL game against Freo.
He still needs 7 more to play his 100th Carlton game (7 with Hawthorn) so we'll have to wait for next year for that milestone.
His height can be deceptive.
