I'll be there.
x2
Can't remember the last time i missed a final in Melbourne, I'll be there
We’re all at sea without harry dean down back
Pretty even imo… cats were never going to slink away quietly—- think we panicked a bit occasionally in second part of second quarter… need a little more surety and I feel confident.
Go Blues 💪🏼
They'll come hard late with the extra week off.
Not sure who was hurt and helped by the rain given we like to play a posession based game and it leads to more scope for failed control.
Hopefully we’ll settle down and come back into it in 3Q.
Yep. Lost a bit of shape when Deany went off. Need a good start in the 3rd
Any updates on Harry Dean ?
Dean down changed everything.
Any word on of he is out or still in 20 minutes check??
Dean's run out with the team...
Worth pointing out that blues fans have one again outnumbered the opposition fans.
Always a home game when we play.
Intercept fkn marks killing us
young is our only player in this game that is clearly not up to this level
Can't play in the wet
Last time we played Geelong we made a real effort to stop that. Not so much so far tonight unfortunately.
Not changing the angles enough.
I’m also done with young. Anyone but him.
Young just walks into someone head high ffs
Meanwhile he let Cripps take the ruck duties ffs he’s hopeless
Cripps put his hand up. That's on Crippa
yep he is absolutely a liability and he knows it so confidence is shot
yeah right its on cripps that young is a goose.
LEWIS screwING YOUNG
omg frasers face when young fked another touch.
I do not want to see that **** in another Carlton jumper ever again
Just pls dont let him on the field. play a rotation down.
Getting smashed
How vital is that. Bloody Young.
The usual bed crapters crapting the bed again. McGovern done nothing same with young.
Mentally cooked.
look spent.
all run is gone
Holmes gone
Fraseball doesn't work in the wet. Need to change something up here.
Agree on McG. Just cannot be relied on.
Agree on McG. Just cannot be relied on.
McGovern done f all since he got his contract.
Should’ve made him work harder
Looked good until half way through the 2nd qtr then we run out of legs. Then add Lewis Young to that.
A couple of track watchers on FB who went to training said we looked sore and a bit banged up.
This is where we see what the boys are made of.
Coming of a short week. Need to really dig in.
Hopefully we've been playing rope a dope for the last 2 quarters.
Our run is all gone - can see a big loss coming unfortunately
Knockout finals can be big losses when sides see it's gone and there's no tomorrow. Been a 50pt turnaround.
I watched the Cats forward burying knees into the backs of the Carlton defenders, then when the opportunity arrives at the other end it's a relatively gentle contact. We need some mongrel in our side, we are too easy to play against, we play fair, and get taken out.
Imagine that big soft Ck Amartey being down there with McGovern and Kemp and Harry
An ugly way to finish what has been a terrific second half of the season. Disappointing to go out on this note.
Scoring has dried up, skill errors, fatigue.
Someone needs to be sacked.
Nothing wrong with Fraser's system IMO, rain or otherwise . However, once we ran out of puff, players stopped running, stopped leading, forced to go back to the big kick down ground or into the forward line.........then no chance
I'd prefer Hogan for 2 years while we develop another key forward.
Proof is in the pudding. Hawthorn game, now this.
The boys look unrecognisable from the team of the last few months.
Yep. We need a real power forward.
Cats have been pushing Harry and Kemp out tunnel style at every contest all night, and not a single free has been paid, now in the last quarter we touch them and they get a free.
The Cats have nearly doubled our score, even though they have sprayed a few. Just too good, too much class and finals experience.
Tonight really looks like 5th v 10th.
Short game stopped just before 1/2 time.
Not real convinced. We went alright early in this game. This is about running running out of legs. Rain made that look worse. As I said, people who went to watch training said we looked, flat, banged up and sore. Two separate people said the said thing. Thought we were going to be in trouble after that. Been a long, tough but fun ride since round 10.
Hawthorn game we looked "due" after that "ripping" 2pt win over Richmond.
We have played 9 games indoors this season where we have looked our best.
It was great while it lasted.
They're fresh, we're cooked. Can always make a scoreboard look worse. Wildcard did it's job and the benefit of finishing top 6. Come in fresh after a break, while the wildcard sides are non-stop after the end of a hard home and way season, Shown the same in the 3 years it's been in the VFL with only one wildcard side winning the EF and the average loss being 10 goals. In most cases the EF's was contested still between sides 5th to 8th but the margins have been much bigger.
That's how it should be too. A big reward for being top 6.
Fraser's challenge for next season is to match Vossy's achievement and reach a prelim. Come on Frase.
McGovern zero disposals in 3 quarters
Would like to see him get the ZacW and AdamS treatment next year
so our boys coughed up a lead, in the wet and this time its not about mentality?
Nup. got a lead in the wet too. Just cooked. Mentally we were good last week. Not an issue there.
Going to find out now what an advantage is it to be top 6 early in a finals series with the wildcard system in. 6 days v 13 days of the H & A season, big help.
last night I said once the hawks lead 40 to 10, they would motor away with it and manage the game.
We are incapable of doing this. As soon as they got out to a 10 point lead, you just knew we were done. Mentally weak. Sure its hard to stay up, but it isnt impossible.
I remember Amartey sniping with a late elbow I think when they played us one time. Not impressed. Pass.
