An interesting factoid:

On at least five separate occasions from 2017 to this year, and including during meetings with German heads of state, Taco has stated that his father was born in Germany.  In fact, Fred was born in New York and it is Taco's grandfather, Friedrich, who was born in Germany and emigrated to the USA.  Each time Taco has made that claim about his father's birthplace, he has been corrected and even shown copies of his father's birth certificate.  However, he continues to state that his father was born in Germany.

As a passionate family historian, I find it hard to fathom how someone can get a parent's birthplace wrong but I accept that not everyone has an interest in their family history.  However, to repeatedly claim the wrong birthplace for a parent despite being corrected is not just a misunderstanding or mistake, it's yet another cognitive glitch by the bloke with the nuclear codes.

Ironically, Fred tried to hide his German ancestry and claimed to be Swedish.

Hmm...

Today, the Supreme Court blocked the Trump Administration's attempts to fire Lisa Cook from the Federal Reserve Board until the case of her mortgage fraud had been finalised (as farcical as these charges are).

With her removed, Trump would effectively have full control over monetary policy, especially interest rate movements which would then become political rather than economy-based decisions, especially as he tries to regain ground before the mid-terms,

In response to the decision, Trump said on Truth Social they would continue to push for the removal of Cook, adding

“We will take appropriate action immediately to make sure that someone who has committed wrongdoing will not be making vital decisions concerning the Welfare of the United States of America!”

Pot, kettle, black!

The next few months leading up to November are going to be mind-boggling, as the Orange one tries desperately to avoid a wipeout.  Get ready for some even more outrageous attempts to pervert democracy.
This is now the longest premiership drought in the history of the Carlton Football Club - more evidence of climate change?

America is now kyboshed from the World Cup, the MAGA nutters are out in force slamming RedTrump for organising that "illegal alien's" red card pardon.

According to the nutters, Folarin Balogun(despite being born in Brooklyn), or "Birthright Belogun" as some call him, should not even be playing for the Good Old US of A!

The irony being if there is a Ex.Pat Russian representing the USA winning at Wimbledon they'll claim her/him without hesitation!

When I was growing up the last thing anyone wanted was any German heritage. I remember my mother’s cousin bringing home a Polish war bride who later turned out to be German. Fortunately she had become a well loved member of the family by then.🤣

Trump is set to make a major speech in the next couple of days.
From the sound of it he could be setting up a bit of a 'red scare' that will enable him to introduce a few measures that may have an electoral effect.

I wouldn't be surprised if  he may not even try to tie the sudden demise of Lindsey Graham into some sort of conspiracy theory.

With his 'war' going poorly a cynic may suggest it's all a distraction, but on the other hand what he proposes may be more about the domestic 'war' he's currently waging against the Democrats.

On a slightly more trivial note, the Reflecting Pool has been drained again and, guess what, there's no trace of a 350ft knife cut in the protective liner.  Evidence of shoddy application is, however, quite apparent.

Saw a clip of him talking about dangerous jobs on YouTube.  Im more worried about him holding launch codes than Iran's nuclear capability.

Taco has finally paid E Jean Carroll the USD5.6 million he owed her after a jury found him liable of sexually abusing her in 1996 and then defaming her after she publicised the attack.  SCOTUS refused to review the rejection of Taco's appeal which left him with no option but to pay up.

SCOTUS is expected to shortly receive Taco's petition to review a second defamation case verdict that awarded Carroll USD83 million and was also upheld at appeal.

Taco has since repeated the comments the juries found to be defamatory so there could be yet more damages headed Carroll's way  ::)
