Yes, and his boosters are already spreading the line that the constitution only prevents a POTUS from standing for election after two consecutive terms ...
For a bloke who has been there before, it is a pretty chaotic start with some of his nominees for cabinet and staff already blown out of the water and others facing a torrid time in Senate hearings.
Although the Republicans control the White House, Senate and House of Representatives, it's not really that clear cut, particularly since the numbers representing each party often changes during a Congress, due to death, resignation or as a consequence of a member changing parties.
There were 220 Republicans and 215 Democrats in the House and this is the "smallest margin of control in modern history", according to the Pew Research Centre. However, Gaetz has gone and Stefanik and Waltz will leave to take roles in the Administration. That leaves a narrow 217-215 majority until new elections are held and Republicans have already shown that they won't blindly follow Aurangzeb's wishes.
The Senate is more problematic for Aurangzeb. There are 53 Republican Senators, 45 Democrats and 2 Independents who normally vote with the Democrats, but it's not enough to have a simple majority. Bills can only be put to the vote if 60 Senators agree that debate on the bill should end. This is the classic "filibuster" of the US system of government. Unless all Republican Senators toe the line, and they can garner the support of seven Democrats/Independents, bills won't be put the vote and can't be passed.
It's going to be an interesting four years.
