It used to be a US 'controlled' area "the Canal Zone"

Aurangzeb is concerned about Chinese influence over Panama ... after he sat on his hands when Panama ditched Taiwan and signed up to China in 2017.  That's the worrying thing about a POTUS who simply doesn't understand that action and inaction have consequences.  And, of course, he doesn't get the link between climate change and the 2023 drought that caused congestion on the canal and increased operating costs.

On the positive side.....
Western Australia and Queensland would be the biggest states in the country.
That would really p*ss off the Alaskans and Texans. :D

We would absolutely dominate Olympic Swimming.

...and when Carlton wins the flag they can call themselves 'World Champions'  ;)  :D 
(It's an American thing they do when they're in fact the only country that seriously plays that sport.) ;D

Aurangzeb would probably baulk at your cash only specification LP, that’s not how he likes to do business.  Then there’s the minor issue of the US not having the means to build a wall, let alone buy somewhere like Pitcairn Island.

You have to wonder how 21st century Russians view the Alaska purchase.  That was a deal that Aurangzeb can only dream about.
