Federal Labor is pork barrelling NSW, does it think it can weather the storm down south or is it that Feds are more concerned about there local electorate ahead of the country?

Libs have won Prahran off the Greens, Werribee too close to call but Labour is in danger there. As you say, everyone has had a gut full of spend spend spend but all in the wrong places. Albo makes Allan look like Hawke.
Labor are finished in Victoria and it will be the same in the Federal Election. Not expecting anything from the Liberals either and the Greens are not a serious alternative with zero economic  policies.
I don't blame Jacinta Allan, she inherited a sinking ship from that clown Andrews and Victoria won't recover for a long time regardless of who is running the State.
Disagree re Allan, Dan Andrews clone, even the way she speaks (saying things twice) is classic Dan Andrews. She had her chance to make a difference instead she did SFA. Cant wait to see the back of her.

Trump adds 25% tariffs to Australian Steel and Aluminium.
Need I say more.

We just need to send 10000 troops to guard the border and he'll wipe those tarrifs.

(That 25% is a general one isn't it...not just Australia?)

Australia has a trade deficit with the USA and both Alcoa(Aluminium) and Bluescope(Steel) operate out of the USA and employ a
significant amount of American citizens. I'll be interested how it all works and Id expect Trump to change his thinking remembering in his first term he did exempt Australia from these tariffs given we had/have the deficit with them.
Id be looking to sell my steel and aluminium elsewhere if Trump follows through with this stupid tariff mania he seems to have...

The problem with that is that you’re assuming that the POTUS has a basic grasp of economics and trade deficits, as well as a lick of common sense.  The tariffs he imposed last term cost US jobs and did nothing for the US trade deficit but who says that a POTUS has to learn from their past mistakes?

Meanwhile, $15Bn has been wiped off the ASX 😮

Economists are warning that the POTUS’s policies will produce stagflation in the US at best, and another GFC at worst.

It’s going to be an interesting four years … 😢

The next brilliant move by Aurangzeb is to declare that 09 Feb is “Gulf of America Day” and is bigger than the Super Bowl.  Is it any wonder that he was booed at the Super Bowl, cracked the sads and went home?  Of course, he was also unhappy that the NFL is sticking with its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program.

What a pathetic excuse for a human being.

And how could I have forgotten that the POTUS is going to bring back plastic straws?

This was given the same weight as buying Gaza (who from?), annexing Canada, and imposing 25% tariffs on steel and aluminium 🙄

And the price of eggs has topped $11 per dozen, up from just over $4 per dozen in Biden’s last month.  Of course, the POTUS can’t control the price of eggs, but that’s not what he promised the MAGA suckers.

I'm confused as i thought you only dealt with clear unbiased facts.  Just a few links when you type in super bowl trump but there is countless reports all along the same lines.

99% of the media are saying the same thing but let me guess all those sources are pro MAGA arent they  ::)  :-[

I wouldn't be putting my faith in any media sources at the moment without checking the bias meter
They're all running around like chooks with their heads cut off.
And that goes for both sides of the spectrum.

This is not only a problem in the USA......

Does anyone remember when newspapers and the like used to actually report news, as opposed to providing spin-laden opinions of how the news should be interpreted?

They've all gotten into the gutter with the digital world who happily report any form of garbage provided it matches the required narrative.

I wonder if Donald has managed to deport the dog-eating Haitians yet?

Beam me up, Scotty, and take me to Vulcan for the next 4 years......

This is now the longest premiership drought in the history of the Carlton Football Club - more evidence of climate change?

Hell, America is properly f0rked.

I read today that there is controversy blowing up because the the Fed DMV has removed a vehicle crash database, why because it offered "other" as a gender when recording details of accidents, like it was even an issue in the first place.

Maybe a detached fake eyelash, or driving in heels, is a major cause of accidents! ::)

(PS; I wrote Hell because I know the sort of people that will carry on about this won't read on beyond it! )
