Trump is pretty easy to criticize, and whilst IMO all the criticism is deserved, despite the surface theater and pyrotechnics, not much has changed under his rule. Endless wars, bloated defense spending, desertion of the working class, growing inequality, wage stagnation, diabolical healthcare system, weakening of environmental protections, increasing surveillance and police state conditions for US citizens, and many others are byproducts of a 2 party system that has been wholly captured by the donor class for decades. 

In a counterintuitive way I "like" Trump, because he clearly doesn't care about surface niceties. He represents the ugliness and brutality of an unconstrained capitalism, capitalism in its purest state. Everything is transactional, everything is for sale, and laws, protections, future negative outcomes, people etc. be damned.

At the moment the USA is burning, companies are going to the wall at an alarming rate, RedTrump's reports aren't as useful as dunny paper. He's used a government shutdown to boost the short term figures, another version of his faked results, as fake as his tan!

I missed it.  Did something happen?

Look no further than the first election for a turbid of why he's friendly with putin.  The Russians played a part in getting him in.

Russia has condemned Taco’s ‘armed aggression’ against Venezuela

Russia’s Foreign Ministry stated;

“The pretexts cited to justify these actions are untenable. Ideologically driven hostility has prevailed over practical pragmatism and a willingness to build relations based on trust and predictability.”

The only thing wrong with the Russian statement is the omission of Venezuela’s extensive oil reserves … and then there’s the utter hypocrisy given Russia’s ongoing territorial aggression in Ukraine.

Denmark and the EU should be thinking seriously about beefing up their military presence in Greenland.

While many may applaud the 'capture' of this dubious head of state it sets a pretty dangerous precedent and the USA can hardly complain when other countries adopt similar tactics.

International boundaries become non-existent if a country has the power.
It's a power thing.
No one is going to do the same to a Netanyahu or a Putin.

This one just doesn't sit well.
It's obviously to a large extent about oil.
It's also about regime change.
That's probably going to result in some serious confronations, with no guarantees of long term stability for Venezuelans.
It shows a United States with as much respect for international boundaries as Putin's Russia.
That is a concern for countries or territories Trump may have his eye on.

Yep, he's probably a bad man, his government has dodgy legitimacy but...

Just add the caveat that things are pretty fluid at the moment regarding information...
There's a fair bit of concern and condemnation being expressed by some countries....but there's also some suggestion that there may have been some type of negotiation regarding Maduro's standing down, 'arrest' and removal from Venezuela.
Hard to believe that's the case given Maduro will apparenty face criminal charges in the U.S. but who knows what to believe these days. ::)

This type of action just enlists an unwanted long term reaction, RedTrump is looking like a pretty accurate label.

Realistically, Vlad’s Ukrainian excursion has shown that Europe has got his measure, particularly with the huge losses in men, materiel and budget.

Xi seems to have had Asia stitched up for some time, but you never know what strange bedfellows may get up to.

King Taco might try to grab low hanging fruit but he didn’t earn his nickname lightly.
