Yeah, that was emotional enough at the time (in a good way), with the TV coverage, Mona basically forgetting he was commentating & just cheering McCann on...........I can't watch a replay of this now without tears in my eyes.
1981, Boxing Day vs West Indies......only saw it on TV as well, but the best day of Test cricket I've ever seen. Dodgy up & down pitch, greatest 4 fast bowlers ever assembled in one side (Holding, garner, Roberts Croft) & Kim Hughes coming in at 3-8, taking them on for 100 no, out of 198....then Lillee (and Alderman) destroying the WI top order in the last 30 mins......I remember just jumping out of my seat screaming when DK knocked Viv over last ball.
Can't disagree with any of the rest on this list either....
