Should increase the collective IQ of both parties.

My first thought was that the Beetrooter has the intellectual capacity to lead Wun Nashun.

If the Australian Government had any balls, they’d tell Taco to go and plait his sh1t.

You've got the governments mixed up again Shawny.  We have a Federal system with State and Territory Governments and the Commonwealth Government.  The latter has the misfortune of trying to deal with the lunatic in the USA.

I have mentioned in another thread that Sam Walsh’s father, Wayne, is my grandson’s woodwork teacher.  That’s not exactly right, he is his “design tech” teacher.

Anyway, the young fellow has just brought his design tech project home.  Superb design and precise woodwork.  Great work by the lad but well done Mr Walsh!

My point was we have no politician remotely capable of standing up to a figure like Trump.

Albo nor that goose Rudd are not taken seriously by any country yet alone a super power.

You're point has absolutely no validity.

Any half-decent Australian politician from either of the major parties can stand up to the senile p1ssweak bully who is pretending to be the POTUS when he's not cheating at golf.  If you followed international affairs you would know that the Australian Government regularly takes an opposing and correct position to that of the USA.  The rest of the world has a playbook for effectively dealing with Taco, and Albo is one of the authors.

And Rudd, for all his flaws, has the balls to rightfully call out Taco as the village idiot.

Trump is a 'flip-flop' man who bullies and threatens.
When people stand up to him or push back he more often than not 'caves' and then tries to present it as the 'art of negotiation'.
If he can get away with it he will, and that's the secret to his demise.
The more people push back, the quicker the facade will fall away

There are even a few Republicans now who are starting to 'rebel', and are distancing themselves from Trump.
His support in his own MAGA base is starting to crack as the 'good ole boys and girls' realise he's a paper tiger.

I completed that practice test, and I'm not sure what it proves about "Australian Values". Most of those values are global to the point of being generic.

Proof is in the pudding - when Trump raised what Rudd said (prior to Trump winning) their combined gigging and backflipping was as weak and childish a response as you get and not to mention cringe worthy.

You hate him we all get it but to imply our leaders can stand up to him is utter nonsense.

You need leaders with presence and backbone - the opposite of what we have in Oz and why the likes of Trump will walk all over us.

Some only see what they want to see, and the right wing media only report what they want to see.

When Trump's loses a debate, deal or discussion, it's either not reported in the right wing media or they basically lie about the outcome. Most of Trump's winning isn't real, it's a fantasy, like any school yard bully he's all bluster and no substance.

Stop listening to right wing podcasts and get some independent, factual information.  Taco and the US may be able to bully Venezuela but most first world nations, including Australia, are running rings around Taco.

Did we cave in to the US demands to scrap our pharmaceutical benefits scheme? Why then are our prescriptions still relatively cheap?

Have we lifted defence spending as Taco demanded?  The independent media headline "Albanese again pushes back on US demand for Australia to increase defence spending to 3.5% of GDP" suggests not.  Have we given any assurances in response to the US demand that we show our hand when China invades Taiwan?

And who sold the JORN defence radar to Canada, gazumping a deal the US had been counting on?  Then there's our ongoing opposition to all of the craziness that's spilling out of Mar a Lago.

As for the press conference, it was discussed at the time that the whole thing was scripted and Rudd agreed to take a fall in order to give the impression that he was contrite.  At the end of the day, the Hon Dr Kevin Rudd AC is still the Ambassador of Australia to the United States and Taco is still the village idiot.
