Looks like the Cartel are looking after themselves again...
If we had not predicted it, based on the things we have seen before many many times, we would not believe it.

Half the squad will continuously pick and choose when it makes an effort, effectively throwing games away on a whim, and they are the ones being rewarded!

I think that is crediting players with much more ability than they actually have.

I would say that they always play to the best of their ability but flaws in technique, limited toolkit and inability to respond to the game situation are exposed far too often.  Then there’s the additional pressure created by underperforming teammates.

Time to pi$$ the Cartel off, starting with Cummins.

If only they'd replaced Head with a NSWelshman.

After winning the toss and bowling, Lyon on in the 11th over, is this proof Smith was doing a BumberT and Cummins a JTurd?

A Clayton's anyone?

Lunch, specialist commentary 3 NSWelshman, recommendations, NSWelshman what else!

Scotty Boland omitted; our best bowler and one of our better batsmen 🙄

I’d love to know what the selectors’ are thinking; it can’t be about rewarding good technique, form and effort.

Wake up and Starc has 6, SA only make 330 - still plenty with our batting line up and their bowling attack - but what a weird days' play.

Yea, at least 300 short of where they were heading.
The bloke trying to hit a six to bring up his maiden test century by charging Lyon got my prize for stupidity, trumping a strong field in good form.

And we think footy is a strange game! I would not have put my money on a result like that.

The Saffies were in strife at 6 for 232, then they’re 7 for 327.  Fortunately, Starc was able to clean up the tail.

We lack the weapons to break partnerships but dismissing the tail cheaply was a nice change.

win the toss and what????   i know we are on the other side of the world, looking at it thru the teev.  but did anyone else see a straw colured deck and blue skies   and wonder what the hell captain pat was thinking??

some of the journos were saying it was a shot at the batsmen - cummins saying, well we know you wont fire, so us bowlers will have to take the initiative.  but then they came out and bowled p00.     odd start to the match.

then to wake up and find it had taken a couple of further odd turns.

i guess this is why t20 will never really take over

Our bowling in the first session was as bad as I've ever seen; lengths wrong, both sides of wicket and no apparent plan...minds clearly weren't on the job as shown by Head's blunder.  Smith pulling out clearly disrupted things and added to the confused state Australian cricket appears to be in at the moment - in squad selection, team selection, preparation and planning.

SEN made a decision on the fly to take talkback.  they hadnt been planning on doing it, but their text machine and socials were blowing up so much, that they announced  Finey's Final Siren  for the lunchbreak.     if that doesnt tell you what a sh1tshow that 1st session was, then i dont know what it says!!!

The caller calling for Starc's head was before a ball was bowled in the 3rd test.
