I was hoping that the Knights would get up after that lunatic did a burnout into the crowd but it wasn’t to be.

It seems to have been a close game after the pre-match entertainment shemozzle.

Money talks, and it also walks, the Roosters are / were overloaded with high priced talent, a few of them are leaving for greener pastures after the GF, a tad mercenary, and Knights were mostly working class other than perhaps Ponga who is the real deal.

I'm bit over the NRL Sydney centric focus, Knights are a NSW club too, but the broadcast commentary was still heavily biased towards the Roosters.

The Roosters are in situation a bit like the Swans were before they flew the coop for NSW, they are an old world club but with a relatively small supporter base, fading at the grass roots level, and remaining heavily reliant on a handful of big dollar benefactors.

News Ltd tried it's best to pump up the pre-game, they have flogged the Jai Arrow thing to the limit, sad for the lad I feel for him, it felt like they want to make him the NRL version of Daniher. But despite that the event was soulless, the performers looked to be just going through the motions, the sound system was ordinary and crowd just weren't engaged, it was all a bit too forced, probably a sign of the last minute arrangements. It won't be missed by performers that after the controversy a month or so back the NRL took a cheap shot at Tones and I by using the Dance Monkey track after the first score.
