McMahon wont be with our VFL team in the second half of the season imo, think he will be snapped up in the mid season draft.
He has areas of improvement he needs to work on but kicking straight and long for goal isnt one of them and I can see a few teams wanting that conversion ability.

Not sure if it’s my eyes but I’m thinking he marks ok 1 on 1, not sure if he’ll get much of that in AFL.
Let’s go BIG !

Harry Lemmey kicks his 4th. I think that might be his best in our colours.

Liking O'Farrell's game so far.  Seems to read the play well and takes strong marks.  Good signs.

Lemmey is a bit on the slow side, but he also kicks straight and long.

not sure if McMahon offers more in that regard, or if he gets targetted more because Lemmey seems to lead much higher up the field.

Important to note, that Mcmahon is either being kicked to and present, or for want of a better term, completely absent from screen.  Lemmey is chasing (if you can call lumbering around the field chasing).

We may have missed a trick with McMahon, but ive seen a bit to suggest that perhaps the reason he wasnt looked at by us, was that we feel he is a bit one dimensional.  I think he is an old fashioned full forward and not much else.  Not sure what that suggests.

Good to see Moir getting into the midfield mix at center bounce at times.  He does well with ball in hand in traffic.  Probably needs to build his tank but plenty there to work with.

Lemmey strikes me as a  bit of a 'confidence' player.
And this will do his confidence the world of good.
Hopefully he can keep it going in the second half.

McMahon will definitely be picked up by somebody in the MSD, but I doubt it will be by us: we can't seem to appreciate those under our own noses.

Vickery was a swans player who didnt get a chance.  No wonder he is good.  Need to work out what they are doing differently to us, and should try poach one of the swans assistants.  We also need to find out a bit about what Collingwood and Hawthorn are doing, although it would appear that Hawthorns way is to take our ex players with high competitiveness and football IQ and get them rubbing pixie dust on their players.

That might actually be a big plus for Lemmey's second half of the season.
We've had a real good look at McMahon.
There must be something there that's making us reluctant to pick him up.

I wouldn't mind knowing what it was, to see if he has done anything to rectify it.

Agree he likes one on one play but Id see him at senior level getting most of his opportunities on the lead and playing a similar game to Nick Larkey who isnt a push and shove merchant or big pack mark but likes the open spaces in the pockets to lead into and isnt worried by acute angles or distance. He needs to convert well because his defensive game and second efforts are not great and he needs to find a team whose system can cover for him in those areas until if and when he can improve those weak aspects of his game.
