Picking a win or loss is fraught. Can't rely on good or bad form.

Hogan tends to have his way with us, SoJ in combo with Weiters and McGovern would diminish that threat, but SoJ is not going to be there.

Cripps will be sore as well.

I hope, but I'm realistic.

If one thinks we are inconsistent, try both GWS and Freo. GWS are down by 47pts at home to Freo.

Good luck working out who wins next week.

Well they got pumped by Freo on their home deck, great :( Thanks for poking the bear for us.

I think we are a decent chance, the game is at Marvel and GWS have a few injuries.
You would expect a rebound after losing to Freo but as the Dockers showed its the same old GWS who fold up when it gets a bit tough and they can't play their pretty football.

A seven-goal haul from Carlton youngster Harry Lemmey proved to be the difference as the Blues won by 30 points.

Veteran Sam Docherty continued to stake his claims for a senior recall after gathering 39 touches and six marks.

Mid-Season Draft fancy Liam McMahon slotted another four majors, while Alex Cincotta returned from a hip injury.

Docherty will come straight in now even though most Blues watchers agree his best days are behind him.

Lemmey has a blinder but that is all you will see on his resume, would the selectors be gutsy enough to give him a senior game ??

Cincotta needs more than one VFL game to show he has fully recovered from his injury plus his fitness level is up where it needs to be. Chances are, they will rush him back in desperation though.

If Docherty comes in he needs to play his more traditional role off half-back
He's been getting plenty of it in the VFL and his accuracy has been fairly good.

There just isn't a spot for Lemmey.
Who does he replace?

TDK should take Pittonet's spot.
What they do with Young will be interesting because while he's not impacting directly up forward he is creating opportunities. Is he needed to replace Silvagni given  the talls in defence or better left up forward?

I would like to see if Young/Gov can cover CHB between them until SOJ is back.
Young i would not give a spot too.
There isn't a spot for Lemmey, i don't think he earns 1 off one game.
That being said, we need to try him sooner or later.
I'm not sure he gets a gig past 2025 based on performances to date, but we should try and give him a chance soon

Young and Weitering did well on Hogan last year in the first game.

Kemp and McGovern not so well in the rematch.

McGovern will have to play on Toby Greene given we dont have Newman, he will want to play a lot closer to his man than he did vs the Swans.
Weitering vs Hogan,
Young v Riccardi
Haynes vs Cadman
