The forward line is a dogs breakfast...it's too crowded. There's no need for all of the small forwards and we'd be better served giving them more time in the middle or dropping them and bringing up someone like Billy Wilson (we need to have a good look at the higher level, and he's had some good patches in VFL games). Ben Camporeale's disposal remains a concern, but he has gone ahead of Lucas and should probably get a taste, maybe as a sub.

My perception is we aren't great in marquee type games, for or against! :o

You'll have to add Boyd to the outs (concussion)

I'd like to see us loosen the shackles and encourage boldness with run, spread and carry.

Agree that the forward line is a dog's breakfast, but so is the delivery into the forward 50 arc. System? Personnel? Both? I'd definitely remove Motlop and Evans to be replaced by Fogary and Williams. With Acres to replace Boyd.
Only our ruthless best, from Board to bootstudders will get us no. 17

Lemmey has a blinder but that is all you will see on his resume, would the selectors be gutsy enough to give him a senior game ??

Hopefully not; first time I have seen Lemmey show enough to even consider him for selection.

Having watched the game, I note that most of his marks were either uncontested or one-on-one against an opponent who lacked the size or strength to impose any physical pressure on him.

Very good kick for goal and still very young but I would need to see much more to be convinced that he could provide a useful contribution in the AFL with the 'kick to a pack' option that the Blues consistently employ.

Prof, Agree on Toby, probably have to be McGovern who is problematic in being able to play close for extended periods.
Green always goes head to head with Cripps and they tend to cancel each other out.....Kelly is injured, Whitfield needs a minder.
Ward will probably mind Hewett and I reckon Bedford will go to Walsh.
For me a bigger problem is where are the goals coming from, GWS have the best KP defensive duo in the game in Taylor and Buckley and our small forwards really need to step up  because I dont see Charlie and Harry kicking a lot of goals this game.
I think our main hope is TDK dominating Briggs who is a solid ruckman but nothing brilliant.

No Kelly, Coniglio, Callaghan and no Daniels.

That is a very talented group missing.

Not going to get them much weaker then this and its in Melb.

Just have to win this.

This is a direct cut and paste of a post I submitted from the Sydney Pre Game thread;

The problem is we've been in these positions before and failed miserably to such an extent where we actually assist the opposition in playing themselves into form. I have no confidence in any game this year.

Until the cycle is broken this will continue to occur

Its the Carlton Roller Coaster, which section are we in this week? Uphill, downhill or a flat section? We are likely to come and smash them this week. Who knows.
