We've got PA, Suns and Essendon where we can play the young ones.  Don't let them get flogged in the West for their first taste of senior footy.
This is now the longest premiership drought in the history of the Carlton Football Club - more evidence of climate change?

We didnt even back a retiring legend like doc. that speaks volumnes of the lack of character and hardness of this list. They are mentally and physically as soft as butter and wont amount to anything.

FC showed vision of Fogarty and White sharing a joke and laughing at half time in the rooms. I'd have been livid given we were being hammered and it was Docs farewell game, clearly the players are either not professional and just seeing out time or just don't care about the club or their teammates.
Kingsley went ballistic at GWS at half time in their game but we seem happy to accept losing and being a rubbish team.

Are we looking to nit pick or was it just two guys trying to stay up beat in the midst of misery. At the end of the day, it wasnt the pumping that was on the cards early, sure the performance was sub par but is a smile here and there that bad? I get the perception on TV angle but no matter what they were going to be picked up. Im a bit each way on this one, especially given White seems to be always smiling and seems like a pretty energetic and cheery bloke.

All the latest sports psychology says that supporters have exclusive rights to determine the correct emotion and the correct behaviors at any point in time. You can't reconstruct the universe from a single drop of water, but apparently you can reconstruct a player's entire being from a single moment on camera. Such obvious rage baiting, and yet supporters don't seem to care. One tiny fragment of not much is all they need, and they can ignore everything else, because their only interest is confirming and validating cherished dogmas and beliefs.

I made a comment DURING the game about Docherty laughing and talking with the opposition.

There is a million and 1 reasons why a player might be laughing during a game, with teammates or with an opposition.

Docherty's opponent might have told him to
"go easy on me otherwise he'll get dropped and delisted if i'm shown up by an old, retiring hack like you"
"go easy and i'll give you a blowie after the game!"

Even Fev in the '99-goal debacle' was having a joke with Guerra during a kick in.
"I'll pay you 10 grand if you dribble it and let me kick my 100th, nobody has to know."

There are times to have a laugh.

You think the "Curnow campfire" was full of people yelling at eachother, or was their plenty of laughter amongst the group as well?

Times have changed people....change with it.

There have been some mighty sledges on the field of sport that make everybody laugh, even the victim!

None better than Judd unloading on his old mates about having stuffed shoulders!

I know a lot of people who play sport for this very reason, it's the best thing about Aussie or Pommie sporting teams that many foreign opposition never understand! For example, The Balmy Army sledging Warnie and Warnie giving it right back!

Think he had one possession in the last quarter vs Hawthorn, so maybe that points to an injury, might as well rest him.
