One thing i've noticed today, but realised its a regular thing, but why does Harry try to mark the ball directly above his head? That is, why not take it out in front of your eyes?

If the ball is high, he'll stop and jump straight up.
If the ball is in front of him and high, he'll jump at have his arms straight up.
If the ball is in front of him, and at a reasonable level, he won't jump, but try and take it high above his head.
....Those are the ones you jump and take it in front of your eyes, so the defender can't get a crack at it.

Look at the way King gets the ball on the lead, out in front, arms at a 45, take it in front of your eyes.
Think the great FF's of yesteryear. Lockett, Ablett, Dunstall.....take it out in front.

Yes, the kicking isn't the best, but Harry doesn't help himself.

They probably figure there’s no point leading because the ball will go over their head or 2m short of them 😢

Williams good clearance to cripps who takes on everyone kicks from 50 and doesn't make the distance and forces a free kick against for shepherd.

LOWER YOUR EYES!

Kick it in front of Skull and let him have a crack. Stop trying to be the hero.

Ollie Hollands had a chance to do the same thing. Lowered his eyes and found Fogarty 20m out.
THAT is how you do it.



....if only a small forward could kick it from 20m!

Suns have beaten Collingwood and Brisbane recently. Thrashed Richmond as well. They are no mugs, and they have clearly stepped up this season. There's no point documenting our issues, they are already well known. Let's be realistic.
