Re: Jim Park Award 2026 Reply #20 – April 02, 2026, 10:14:46 pm AFL 2026 Rd 2: Carlton vs MelbourneI've left the voting thread open, as this is a short week. I'd rather not have to change things, but I will if necessary. I want more people voting, even in disasters like this one.Trends:[1] There were 10 voters this round, which isn't too bad considering how poor we were after half time. Please do voteplease do vote, win, lose or draw: it is something we appreciate and it makes our statistics a lot more reliable. And our statistics hold up pretty well when it comes to John Nicholls Medal night![2] The rating was a 6.13, which represents a E+, shows juts how frustrated our voters are this week.[3] 15 players managed a mention this week, which is better than last week. But the size of the vote shows how few played 4 quarters.[4] The average vote this week was 20, which again shows significant dissatisfaction with the result and the effort after half time. [5] 4 players managed 100 votes or more this week. This is the best for the year, but the size shows that our players weren't dominant for 4 quarters.[6] Sam Walsh and Jacob Weitering were both BOG's this round with 175 votes. They were followed by Mitch McGovern with 163 and Elijah Hollands with 113. [7] Three player managed votes from everyone this week, Walsh, McGovern and Weitering. Elijah Hollands missed from 1.[8] The distribution of votes this week suggested that we had a rounded performance across the board; everyone fell off after half time.[9] If there was a positive from this disaster, it was the significant contribution from our youngsters. Smith, Dean, Byrne and the Hollands brothers made contributions.Votes:Walsh, Sam 175Weitering, Jacob 175McGovern, Mitchell 163Hollands, Elijah 113Young, Lewis 52Hollands, Oliver 40Cripps, Patrick 37Smith, Jagga 34Byrne, Talor 34Ainsworth, Ben 31Carroll, Matthew 28Dean, Harry 12Pittonet, Marc 9William, Zac 9McKay, Harrison 9Progressive Voting:Walsh, Sam 700Smith, Jagga 394Pittonet, Marc 316Weitering, Jacob 308Patrick Cripps 228Mitch McGovern 199Lord, Cooper 144 Hollands, Elijah 124William, Zac 118Matthew Carroll 97Ainsworth, Ben 65Hollands. But, losing turns voters off.Trends:[1] There were 9 voters this round, which is not good. But then, it is hard to vote when we do so poorly and when the program is so disjointed and unsatisfactory. Please do voteplease do vote, win, lose or draw: it is something we appreciate and it makes our statistics a lot more reliable. And our statistics hold up pretty well when it comes to John Nicholls Medal night![2] The rating was a 6.93, which represents a D, shows just how frustrated our voters are this week.[3] 17 players managed a mention this week, which is better than last week. But the size of the vote shows how few played 4 quarters. Hard, I guess, when the whole team doesn't play 4 quarters![4] The average vote this week was 23, which again shows significant dissatisfaction with the result and the effort after half time. Scores are around 30 when we win.[5] 4 players managed 100 votes or more this week, which equals last week's effort. [6] Elijah Hollands was both BOG this round with 258 votes. He was followed by Pittonet, McGovern and Ollie Hollands.[7] One player managed votes from everyone this week, Elijah Hollands. None of the others got close.[8] The distribution of votes this week suggested that we had a rounded performance across the board; everyone fell off after half time.[9] The Hollands brothers dominated. And our statistics hold up pretty well when it comes to John Nicholls Medal night![2] The rating was a 7.33, which represents a D+, shows just how frustrated our voters are this week. Considering that the rating was our 2nd best for the year just shows how dissatisfied we've become.[3] 17 players managed a mention again this week. Clearly, almost everyone of doing something, enough to get noticed, just not enough to get us over the line. [4] The average vote this week was 24, which is also our 2nd best for the year. Scores are around 30 when we win, so read into that what you will.[5] For the second week in a row 4 players managed 100 votes or more. But... [6] Sam Walsh was BOG for the 3rd time this season with 246 votes. He was followed by Pittonet, Cripps and Haynes.[7] Two players managed votes from everyone this week, Cripps and Walsh. Pittonet missed from one voter.[8] It was hard to determine a trend among the vote getters this week, as so many of our players did something. However, 3 of our midfield players were among our top 4, so I'll say that our mids were our best division.[9] The Hollands brothers and Matt Carroll were probably our most effective youngsters on the night. Our rating of the Richmond game, our only win, was 7.69.[3] 18 players managed a mention again this week. Scores are around 30 when we win, so read into that what you will.[5] 5 players managed 100 votes or more. That is excellent, I don't think we've managed better. [6] Sam Walsh was BOG for the 4th time this season with 196 votes. He was followed by Carroll, Florent, Newman and Williams.[7] No player managed votes from everyone this week, This is another thing without Precedence and shows why we aren't winning.[8] It was hard to determine a trend among the vote getters this week, as so many of our players did something. And he is our most effective mid by far.[2] The rest of our midfield has really struggled to make an impact. Pittonet is 2nd, yet he has struggled to dominate opponents. Cripps is usually over a 100 votes by the this time, yet he is not half that. Cerra barely rates a mention. George is little better.[3] Jagga Smith is 6th, and he has struggled to make the same impact that he did to start the year.[4] Other than Marc Pittonet, few players have improved their scores. Elijah Hollands was good, but his career is now under a cloud. Matt Carroll is making a much bigger contribution, as had Mitch McGovern. And that's about it.[5] Some of our senior players are not even on the list. Saad, Acres and Cottrell don't have a vote. George and Adam Cerra barely have any. H, our key forward, hasn't even managed 100 votes yet.[6] Our replacements for de Koning, Silvagni and Curnow have struggled to make much of an impact. Ainsworth has been the pick of them, with 202 votes. Quote Selected
