3 behinds to Ben C,2 to Lucas. Ison and Moir doing some nice things. Ison's left peg might be a weapon.
2021-Pi$$ or get off the pot
2022- Real Deal or more of the same? 0.6%
2023- "Raise the Standard" - M. Voss Another year wasted Bar Set
2024-Back to the drawing boardNo excuses, its time
2025-Carlton can win the 2025 AFL Premiership

Looks like the reserves have channelled the seniors. Collingwood have kicked 5 to 3 in that quarter with 3 in the last 5 mins.

Collingwood had a shot after the siren.
Thought the player went off the mark

Anyway they won the quarter and reduced the margin to 36.
73-37

We've stopped.

Collingwood working their way back but they dont think they have time.  Its 82 to 53 in time on late in the 4th.

Dissapointed we didnt put the foot on the throat and kill them.

Our best have been Hewett, acres, lord.

Ison shows promise. Moir doesnt do enough bjt has poise.  Flynn young is creative but pace is an issue.  Ben camporeale has been busy without being outstanding.  Charleson shows something which is better than nothing.

Saad hasn't been bad.  Just not great.

O keefe has been serviceable but hes glacial.

Both sides havent maximised their chances and we are down to a 28 point margin.

Im convinced our conditioning is woeful.

We kicked 4 goals in the second half to 7 of Collingwoods who were goalless at half time. Considering the gulf in class a very dissapointing end to the game.

Acres (31), Hewett (29+9 tackles), Lord (31+11 tackles), Young ( 21 +2 goals)  all did well.
Ison coming along nicely.
If only Ben C could kick ::) (0 goals 4 behinds) and his field kicking isn't any better.

Flynn Riley may be a better ruckman that both Reidy and HOK.

Given the current thinking around our midfield it's probably going to be one of Hewett or Lord...and the younger man may well get the nod.

Carlton: 11 - 19 - 85
Collingwood: 7 - 12 - 54
If we could kick straight, then we might have won by what we should have.
On the other hand, we have managed our 1st win for the season.

[1] Reidy didn't play. Is he being held over for next round in the seniors? Probably.
Flynn Riley, on the other hand, had 33 taps, easily more than both Collingwood rucks. 4 clearances and 13 possessions was a good night for him.
Duson O'Keefe, on the other hand, had 7 possessions, with 5 marks, 1 clearance and 18 taps. Not as poor as he has been, so a step in the right direction.

[2] No Derksen either. Probably also held over. However, it meant that we seriously lacked KP players.
If there was a reason why we couldn't slaughter Collingwood, that is probably it. We are so short of guys who can be a focal point, that it is frightening.

[3] George Hewett: 29 possessions, 9 clearances, 9 tackles.
Cooper Lord: 31 possessions, 5 clearances, 11 tackles.
Blake Acres: 31 possessions, 2 clearances, 2 tackles.
This is the sort of response we were looking for.

Those four should all come in IMO and maybe Moir?
Outs: McKay Byrne Elijah Hollands Ollie Hollands Evans
Did I also hear Gov was injured late in the game?

He might get a run soon. Byrne had a nice bit of experience. might be time to develop in the twos again for a little while. The like of Ison might get to experience  seniors.

Gov is one going well this year and filling a key role forward. Without McKay next week I hope Gov is ok.  Frankie missed a bit of pre season. I never thought he was quite right when he come in. Might be good for him to have a run in the twos for Flynn toung to get his fitness back up. One thing like like about Frankie is his footy IQ and ball use. Those later games last year were elite, so hopefully get him fit then back to that.

Maybe Ben Campo might get a go soon as he knows how to get it. Never mind his kicking, we won't lose anything from it....haha.
