I didn't really go into watching this game believing we should win by a lot due to GCSunsets losing so many on the trot. Recently they only narrowly went down to Rottingwood, Dishlickers and Dawks. And the talent they have on the paddock is bordering on elite.

Positives:
Headed a number of times and wrestled back the lead. And we were in front when the final siren sounded.
Kids - The Burner, Cow, Deano, Jags and Willo.
Young - Whipping boy for some but played with confidence and filled his role(s) well.
Newbies - Ainsworth, Florent & Hayward. And The Derk well worth persevering with, there's something there.

Concerns:
Kempies goal kicking confidence. I still believe he should be given time in the middle as when the aggott hits the deck he hunts it so well. Did a lot of really good stuff at ground level up forward.
Newey's hammy.
Lapses. Obviously a work in progress.

Notice to the Carlton Shop: Load up on 3s and 9s. The Byner is a fave of we fans. Must get a Rising Star nomination before the year is out.
Only our ruthless best, from Board to bootstudders will get us no. 17

Kemp does a lot very well and surprises me with endeavour and smarts - just unfortunately not kicking for goal atm.  Move him elsewhere to benefit from his strengths.

Love Talor - his endeavour is top notch!

Yes, Kemp's kicking for goal is cause for concern but I think that he does a lot of team first work that goes unnoticed by supporters.

He had his work cut out playing on Collins and Andrew with only McGovern for support ... and occasional cameos by Young, Pitto and Crippa.  Collins and Andrew were able to nullify his main strength - marking - but he still contributed with tackles, shepherds and smart ball use; two goal assists and five score involvements is a reasonable return for a key forward who was well held on the day.

It seemed to me that Fraser planned for our small amd medium forwards to be the main offensive threat with Kemp and McGovern focusing on applying pressure and creating opportunities for them - and that worked well.  Of course, McGovern made the most of his opportunities but Kemp couldn't nail what should have been a monty.

Apparently Kemp was practising his kicking for gaol before the game with the club pastor, Rev Stephen Webster, so divine intervention's not the answer.

Suggesting that his set shot kicking for goal possibly warrants a gaol sentence seems a bit harsh
