NFL Crapfest

Anyone bothering with that pile of junk at the mighty MCG today? Cant believe the coverage overload of it.
2022- Real Deal or more of the same? 0.6%
2023- "Raise the Standard" - M. Voss Another year wasted Bar Set
2024-Back to the drawing boardNo excuses, its time
2025-Carlton can win the 2025 AFL Premiership
2026-Slow start, we can kick after all, why not?

Not there but watching it. Cracking day to be there. I don't know why I enjoy it,  but I do. Biggest knock is that 60mins of playing time takes 3 hours

Clearly, i love my AFL.....and the NFL.
Worldwide there is 100x more NFL supporters than AFL supporters.

I've seen 2 games live, in the US.

For reference, a regular season game between 2 teams with basically no rivalry (Vikings vs Seahawks) was louder than the Blues vs Cats 96k final we just had.....in a maxed out 60k odd open stadium

People who don't like it generally don't understand it.....and don't take the time to understand it.
Easier to throw stones, rather than show interest.

I would've loved to have gone, but baulked at the ticket prices.
I saw 2 games, bought food, drinks and probably the nights accomodation (x2) for those 2 games for less than a ticket to this game would cost. Ridiculously overpriced. Especially when you see what some of the ground level seats can 'see'.

My mates got tickets.  They are there for less than face value which is interesting.  Bought over the web from Switzerland, and not a scam.

Originally they advertised tickets of $89 and $135 IIRC. The day they were on sale the 'cheap' tickets were $400 and the expensive ones were $600 or so.

They do dynamic ticketting i think, so the more in demand they are, the more expensive they get.

270 dollars for 2 tickets, punt road end looks like olympic stand but could be on the southern stand side.  Behind the goals, they would be the "cheapest" tickets, but considering you couldn't get one...

Thats a good deal. I could have got one, i just chose not to pay (minimum) $400 for it when i can watch at home for free.
If it was a Vikings game, i would've gone.

The people who are duded are those who paid way overs for front row at ground level on the wing, late purchasing at top dollar, they made the assumption they were the best seats in the house and were screwed over, due to the relative size and curvature of the ground they are basically looking at a bench full of arses!

The best seats would have been up a level front row.

Those are the 'fans' who turn up because its an event. Any actual fan would know you ain't seeing $h!t from there.

Most were international visitors apparently, they are ignorant of the venue.

NFL venues are like a billiard table, and the closest seats sit about 2m above the playing surface.

There's photos emerging of our blokes being there.

Gov, Walshy, Crippa, Cottrell, Weitering, i think a couple others. Also reckon i saw Jamo next to Crippa. Perhaps the rumours of him coming to take over from diesel are true.
