His opponent Motlop has touched the ball twice in the first half. Armfield has killed his opponent.

And given away a few goals by turning it over.

Tutt's made a few mistakes but still playing his best game for us.

He just needs to think quicker and dispose the football as soon as he can. Not second guess and think too long. He still gets ignored when in space further up the field.

This

Refer my earlier comment

I've had to adjust my thinking and accept that Carlton get shafted every week by the umps, or I would go nuts worrying about the bias.

Geelong have been getting a very good ride from the ums for a while now. I'm sure there are a couple of 'pet' clubs for umpires and Geelong are 1 of them.

16 tackles in a half is dreadful.

Supercoach Mick forgets that the there are more than two marking forwards in most sides and forgets to man up Murdoch - Everitt is the ideal match up.  Fair dinkum, does this bloke have a clue?

Everitt is the ideal match up for Blivacs, he can't cover everyone! ;)

Fox says it's 15.  The lack of midfield pressure has killed us all year.  It's as if the players refuse to run the other way.

I'd prefer Graham or Buckley TBH. Any bloke that's part of the future.

I don't think Graham is, and Buckley I'm not sold on.
Graham is very average, not quick, not strong, average skills, a good VFL player.
Buckley has more flair but he's very light and not as good as he thinks he is.
The only thing in this world worth more than a hill of beans is the Carlton Football Club.

Spot on, there are way bigger problems than Arnfield out there.

At least Armfield plays his role and gives 100%.

We fumble way too much
We make bad decisions
We don't take our chances
We don't pressure anywhere near enough
We don't execute the basic skills properly a lot of the time
Geelong are toying with us.

=no pressure. The midfield are just not running. Geelong are stringing multiple possessions together under no pressure. Of course it makes their forwards look good. Get man on man, tackle hard and things might look up

Well let's find out. We already know what Armfield brings, and it's not good enough.

I didn't say he was perfect, but by far not our worst. I've seen some turn overs and stupid kicks. One from 2E out of the goal square kicking the ball back into play was a classic. Spoiled straight back next to the point post. Criminal. Curnow has kept Selwood quiet which I am happy with. The rest just isn't that entertaining at all. Sloppy crap footy.

How is it that Casboult, a man who weighs 100kegs goes in for the arm tackle then and falls over.

Someone teach him how to drop the shoulder and drive through his player. Weak effort.
