A black evening if there ever was one, it was clear from the first few minutes that we were dead meat and our season with it. Well, we still need to rate our performance, so please, do vote this week. I expect a pretty ugly set of figures, but that is nothing less than we deserve at the moment.
[1] Votes add up to 15. [2] No more than 10 votes to any individual. [3] At least players need to be mentioned. [4] Please include a rating.

A must win game this one: lose this and the finals are going to be very hard to get to.
Nice to see Ellard, McInnes and Collins back from injury. I am a little surprised that Graham didn't get a gig, but he is emergency.
Frankston vs. Northern Blues Sunday 4th August Frankston Oval at 2:00PM
Frankston B: Jennings J. Irving Dermott HB: Clark Simpson J. Newman* C: Cass Hockey Buchan HF: Alwan Haretuku C. Irving F: Lloyd Lourey Pongracic R: Gabriel Kitchin Potts Int: Bosward Matheson Purcell A. Forato Giobbi Edwards Delahunty Boland Miller

Duigan is missing: he got a 2 week suspension at the VFL tribunal during the week. I didn't see the incident, so I have no idea how justified it was. Maybe RR can shed some light on it?
Our team this weekend is quite small, especially as Bootsma is CHB and Dale is CHF. I don't know who is going to play on Haratuku yet: he beat Watson last time we played a few weeks ago.
Mitchell is named on the bench. I am not sure what that means, but he had only 1 possession last weekend, a handball.
Nothing is certain in the world of TV, but at the moment there is only 1 game set for Saturday 24th August at around 1:00 PM, and that is the Baby Blues vs. Williamstown at Willi. That is the afternoon of the Essendon game, so hopefully a few enthusiastic Blues can get down to the ground.
It doesn't look like I will be able to make it, but I will follow closely on the box.
In advance, thank you to all of you who could make it to the games this year and given us a report: it has been a pleasure to read the information from people who are there, even when the reports are not as positive as I could hope.
Thank you also to Matt Lodge and co for the game information from twitter. This has been an excellent service this year. I have found it extremely informative and helpful.

Nice to see Tom Bell named. I wonder if he'll play? Coburg have had the wood over us recently. Aaron Edwards has had leather poisoning and kicked heaps. I hope there are a few Tigers who are going to play senior footy, as their team looks much better than usual. Stephenson also tends to play well against us. I hope we can show some of the spirit and endeavour we displayed last week.
With Gold Coast smashing Collingwood last night, next week's game ay Metricon Stadium is looking ... interesting. Last year we experienced a disaster at Carrarra. What is going to happen this time?
Bit surprised nobody has started this up yet. Probably still getting over the blood pressure issues from the last quarter. You all know the drill: [1] At least 3 players required a mention. [2] No more than 10 votes to any one player. [3] Votes have to add up to 15. [4] Please include a team rating. If you don't. you'll be assigned a stock rating of 'B'.
With a workman like win on the board and a bit more spirit on display, this week should be a tad easier to vote on. Remember, no more than 10 votes to any one player. Votes have to add up to 15. Include a rating on team performance. At least 3 players need to get a mention.
After this week's bye, the Baby Blues have a chance to restart their season against Box Hill at Box Hill. Unlike previous years, this game is on TV. It would be nice if we could turn up - we have only won 1 of our last 4 TV games, and that was against Frankston. It would also be nice if we had a midfield for the game, but that is far beyond my control.
Yes, the Northern Blues have a week off with the VFL's odd scheduling. Normally I'd be frustrated. This week, I just hope the guys are getting things right.
I won't bother transferring over all of the old posts. However, I will update the voting for last week's game shortly (although that may be tomorrow - my wife wants me to read stories to my girls). Suffice to say it was a lot more positive than this week's debacle will be. I have no idea how many people will vote.
What a shocker! A 75 point thrashing. A couple of positives: Menzel stood up and kicked a few goals. Watson played probably his best game of the year and destroyed Gumby. That may terminate the move to recruit Gumby in itself. Otherwise....
I'm looking forward to what RR and the crew have to say.
Thank you again to Matt Lodge for his excellent coverage via Twitter.
