All set for the game. Pity I won't be seeing any of it.

Watching the pregame, never realised Cameron Mooney grew up a Bluebagger. Says he had 43 on his back because he loved Kouta, reckons he loves CC now because of the similarities.

As i said in the other thread, if we lose by 4-5 goals MORE than what Gold coast lose by against Port, we'll slip to 17th.

Early goal to Tippet is not a good start.

Game being played in the Swans half, we can't break past half forward line.

Listening to radio coverage today so can't comment too much. However it does seem like we are using tactics and structures rather than relying on talent so much. Commentators saying we are starting to find ways out of D50

His missus is 4 days from giving birth. Mind is there i'd say.  Being a forward today though is one crap task.

Odd game, Levi, looking injured , hoping that instead of lack of interest, no forward structure at all. Don't look to have any scoring avenues

If Boeky could add a hard edge to his game, you can really see what he brings - he's smooth and certainly has skills, and a good decision maker. But without that hard edge, he's just too flaky.

Would take a 20 goal loss if bryne is cleared of a acl. Feel so much for him. Seems a great character around the club and just sickening luck if he has done the other knee.

Has heart and can play. Whatever the outcome I hope we persist with him.

Weiters, like last week, has started well. Little ZacAttack is his usual pesky pressure unit. Kruez is doing that "big mid" thing again. He's milked the opportunities whilst swans rucks were off. Clever footballer is he ;)

Commentators say Casboult was tentative as if playing with knee probs. On cue, he clunked a nice mark, and put it through.

We stuck to our system and got the better of them q2.
If we can maintain our intensity, we'll pester them.

Go Blues

Bad lack for Byrne and wouldn't wish that on anyone, but having said that, he showed his inexperience there. Every man and his dog could see that he was never going to get that kick off. He never should've attempted the kick as it was always going to be smothered, or at best, forced out on the full.

Lack of awareness contributed to the injury unfortunately.

I said earlier that Graham could be playing for his career and should get 30 in ideal conditions for him. Only got 8 at half time, with only 1 kick. He needs to do more.

Do not understand the selection, Plowman and Silvagni should have been Jaksch in as a re-organisation of the defensive setup.

Graham might get 30, but they'll be worthless if he misses 20 targets, we just cannot afford to settle for this type of player as a depth player if we are to move forward.

Yes, hopefully Bolts can rally the troops at 3/4 time, because this has all the makings of a thumping.

I'm really not sure whether a small ground like this one makes it easier or harder to kick a large score, but 50 points up this point (and we've been accurate) is the story of our year.

Pickett the standout, he's building to unique skill set that will keep oppo guessing. Charlie and BB bobbing up at the right time.

Unfortunately Jonesy getting a lesson from Buddy. Good lesson bad for the score.

Sure, he still makes some bad decisions and craps himself sometimes, but that is getting less frequent.

That deal got us Pickett+Marchbank.

He was some free steak knives.
Not sure why we persist in playing him in the backline/wing area. Let him play deep forward where he can use his uncanny goal kicking ability.

Get it right.

Tuohy + 2nd rounder -> Smedts, Pickett and Marchbank.

Still do that deal every day of the week, Smedts is a talented kid who MAY have turned out to be bargain of the century. Whether he does or not, still winners from the trade(s)

People are still waiting for Casboult to improve to the required level, Smedts is at least 2 years younger, has missed a lot of games with injuries. Including a broken leg. Those things take time to recover from, years even.

As i said, if he doesn't turn out, so be it. He was a freebie who has oodles of talent. His body might not be up to AFL level, wouldn't be the first.

Buy low...

If he doesn't get a contract, you'll never be able to do this, but if he does...

Go to a game, and just watch him for 5 minutes. Forget about the ball. Watch what he does.

He is either directing teammates, blocking for them, running to cover a player (defense), running to make space (offence).
Look at the way he mans the mark - Jumping up and down waving his arms usually verballing the kicker.

Most of what he does, never gets noticed.

No, Docherty wasn't rolled.  Rohan rode Docherty's back into the ground.

There's no difference between the tackles.  If Rohan's tackle is a free kick, Casboult's should be too.

If I was umpiring, both tackles would result in a free for in the back.

That may be so, but if he was assessed on what he does with the ball he wouldn't be getting another contract.
