I can't really understand why folks have issues with Cripps' goal and the aftermath. He was involved in several possessions, followed the ball from the wing to the F50 arc, weaved and swerved, turned Adelaide blokes inside out, and slotted it on the run. It was a super effort, his showboating lasted only a couple of seconds and was in my view, a fairly understated and mild example of that type of behavior. I have no issue with any of it.
Terrible decision to pay that much for McGovern given his output and our needs in other areas. I wouldn't use that as a reason to justify over spending in other areas.
Reminds me of why we went after Warnock when we had Kruezer and Jacobs then recruited Hampson.
GWS are coming off 5 day break, flew back from Perth so I think that negates our 4 day turnaround, time to bring in O'Brien, Cunners, Cottrell players who can run.
We needed a Charlie Cameron as an understudy for Eddie and that's where the mistake has been made imo. Gibbons isn't that player and either is Martin who is already an experienced player. We needed that Cameron/Mosquito type for Eddie to train up.

Essendon are rubbish and we played the weakest team they have put on the park for ages. Their midfield is as soft as it gets and we just showed how soft and weak we are at the contest and how poorly motivated we are. Too many front runners who don't like to tough it out when it's hard and when Cripps is held. Really missed Daisy, and that pains me to say it but he is a mainstay player now and dropping him was dumb. SOS needs the blowtorch applied to him for not recruiting enough players with fight and heart,it's pathetic watching how weak and insipid we are. There is no excuse for that Essendon performance...
I fully agree EB, too many high end picks who never had to work hard as a junior player, we need hungry players like a Gibbons or Jones who play as it's there last game.
Won the league goalkicking in the first season of AFLW. Won the VFLW league goalkicking last season, including 9.0 in the last game of the year. Despite missing a month of games due to being overseas.
When given the ball to her advantage, she can't be stopped.
However, we do not kick well coming through the middle of the ground.......or at goal based on todays efforts.
Plays for frees and hasn't adapted to the better defeders she gets each week needs to be on the move to make it harder to defend.
