OK I personally think that it is 'line in the sand' time.
The line in the sand should be that, from now till the end of the year, forget about the drugs, the injections, the 4 aminos and focus on ourselves and how we are going to beat a team who we despise, who are on the same number of premierships as us and who are spiralling out of control, ready to be buried.
Let them keep their points and let them be humiliated over the next three weeks. Most of their supporters and I dare say their players would love to cop their penalty now, cause they ain't going anywhere this year, but their admin are sitting firm.
Just go out and beat them because they are Essendon and because they are one obstacle standing in the way of us and a hit at the finals.
Interestingly, I reckon there are 4 out of the 5 who you could sit at a bar with and have a fair chat about life in general.....and there would be one who would be the classic fish out of water!!
Just a thought. Have we rushed Waite back in to give him valuable game time prior to the finals, with the assumption that we might default into 8th position?
5 weeks out with a leg injury will lower your fitness base considerably and one game in the twos would seem standard?
Perhaps some of Jammo's problems last night may have been because he was aware that he could not depend on Watson for support.
Very close to the truth. Watson is 'heart in your mouth' stuff from the stands, every time he goes near a contest, imagine what it is like as you go into battle with him. Still far from convinced regarding Watson.
