Robert Heatley Stand / Re: AFL Elimination Final 1 Post Game Prognostications Carlton vs Sydney
Awesome night last night. Just me and 92000 of my closest friends....maybe 90k were carlton fans.
Weather behaved itself and although it rained it was mild. Was windy, but not terribly so.
No excuse for Harry missing those goals anyway.

Martin is starting to prove the doubters wrong. If he has any left, then they don't know much about footy. He was huge all over the ground.
Cottrell took some strong marks, was good in front of goals and is made for finals.
Acres...love what this bloke has brought to the club tough as nails, but might miss with his shoulder which was hanging for the last 5 minutes of the game. Thankfully the weekly out on the full happened very late in the game and didn't hurt us too much.

Harry....oh dear....i suggested we keep him out of the side previously and didn't get much support. After last nights debacle, he is probably lucky he got himself concussed as it may have saved himself the embarrassment of being dropped. How do you miss 2 goals basically from the goal square in the same match?! Confidence is shot.

Changes for next week....

Out: Harry (conc), Martin (susp), Acres (shoulder)
IN: Silvagni, Motlop, Hollands
Sub: Kennedy
Agree with most of that.

I have been a long term doubter of Martin - and he has played exceptionally the last few weeks. Now needs to do it consistently.

Still think we are better with harry than without. We lost a lot of forward connection when he went off last night.
Still, he needs to see a sports psychologist, as it is 100% between the ears for him.

If Pitto was fit, i'd ruck him alone.....but he's not (or at least wasn't - hopefully he is now)
I really don't like rucking Harry.

Honestly, i'd choose the extra mid Kennedy over Pittonet and have Cripps nominate for ruckwork around the ground when TDK is unavailable, and Harry when forward. Cripps wouldn't have to do any extra legwork as he is would be at the ruck contests anyway....he just gets to push and shove a ruck rather than a tagger.

We'd be able to use Kennedy as an extra big body at the stoppages to give him a chopout in the middle.
Would also rest Kennedy forward playing the Jack Silvagni 3rd tall / hit up forward role. Gives us an option should Harry have to cover TDK in the ruck.
Don’t mind this idea

Also if BlAcres is out Kennedy should come back in. We need another hard mid, especially if it’s wet. Dow wont do it around the clinches

I had a few nervous moments when 10am ticked over, had the recurring 10 second refresh with no action for a couple of minutes. Then got through and it was plain sailing from there. Cat 1 level 2, happy days. All up about 5 or 6 mins.

Excited to say I’ll be attending my first game in MCC members stand  8)  rarely get to go as from interstate so hoping we can pull out a win.

If it is a dead rubber…

Personally I’d rest Cripps, Martin, Weiters, Charlie, Hollands, Newman, Docherty,
I’d keep Walsh, Cerra, McGovern, SOSOS and Kennedy out too.

Martin (to my surprise) had been instrumental the last few weeks. Newman may be top 3 in our BnF. We need Ollie’s run. Weiters is probably winning BnF. Docherty, Cripps and Charlie just deserve a rest.

Replace with whoever you like - but we cannot afford to have any of those 7 get injured.

Just get everyone cherry ripe for the Elimination Final.

And if we get fined by the AFL for playing silly buggers then who gives a F.
