To be honest, this does not look the strongest team we've fielded this year, particularly considering the poor form of Garlett. However, we are running out of fit Blues, so beggars have few choices. Hopefully there can be some sign of the spirit and endeavour the senior Blues showed last night.
We showed so much courage tonight that it pains me to lose, especially as we did. However, I hope the voters were able to get over their grief: I will when we pick up a better kid on Nation Draft Day. But we really showed a lot tonight, so I hope plenty of people feel they saw enough to vote realistically.

I know we have the bye this weekend, but nobody has brought up Freo as yet. So I thought I had best start things off. Pity Freo stuffed up so badly last week: they probably won't do the same again in a hurry. Ross Lyon will be after them with a pitch fork!
I don't see us beating Freo, especially in Perth. Bit stranger things have happened. Look at last weekend!
Anybody have any idea why the game is being played on a Thursday? Some public holiday? To be honest I would not expect this to lead to a huge crowd, but what do I know?
With Everitt a definite non starter and Menzel unlikely, do we bring in Garlett? His form has been pretty excremental, but then Waite's wasn't exactly brilliant before his promotion. I wonder of the Match Committee will consider blooding one of the Ciarans? Sheehan missed last week, but he has been solid and is neither small nor slow. Maybe Blaine Johnson: it would be nice for him to play in front of his family and friends.
Last night was the dose of Dopamine that I really needed. I was expecting to be pounded. Instead, we showed North Melbourne to be the pretenders we all thought they were. Football is a funny game!
Anyway, this one should attract some more voters, even though last week's disaster provided more than we've had for ages. Enjoy and vote!

And, for once, there should be a nice spread of vote getters this week: a lot of people did good jobs.
Northern Blues vs. Werribee Tigers Saturday 19th July Visy Park at 1:30pm
Northern Blues B: Dirago M. Watson McInnes HB:Armfield Coulson Wilkinson C:Buckley Cripps Lucas HF: Wilson Waite B. Johnson F: Bransgrove Anthony Garlett R:Warnock Holman Cachia Int:Byrne Posar Cattapan Totevski Bolger Walton Hunt* Temay Reynolds
Werribee Tigers B: Hine Wilson Crichton HB: Sherlock Shinners B. Norris C: Bolton Sodomaco Gribble HF: K. Harper Daw Warren F: Turner Wood A. Maric R: Currie Speight Moore Int: J. Harper Jones Sharp Davis Reid Mihocek Martyn Boag* Porter
Well, last week's team had no relationship to what actually went out onto the ground. If this week's team is actually something like it has been selected, then they should give Werribee a much better run for their money than we did last time. Last time it was a disaster of Biblical proportions and probably the worst effort from the Baby Blues for the year. Ironic that we lost to half of North last week, to play the other half this week.
If we get more than a couple of people voting this week it will be a miracle. How crappy can we play. Blown away in a single quarter.

The weather for Sunday may put off people from attending this one. Certainly the crowd will be less than it was for the pre season game earlier in the year.
One of the things that irritates me most about Eureka Stadium is that there is no terracing. Only the front row can actually see the game, unless you are in the 'Member's Stand'.
Nobody seems to be thinking of this week's game at all as yet. Granted that things are not looking like the sort of victory we experienced last week, but are we that sure we will fail?
This is going to be a LOT more pleasant that it has been for quite a while. Hopefully a few more voters will come out of the woodwork to celebrate. With only 29000 people there, and no free to air TV, it may not be that easy, but I can hope. Thank you to everyone who voted during the last few weeks: it hasn't been easy. This week should be a different kettle of fish.

In yet another marvelous piece of timing, we manage to be drawn to play the Meat Pies on Sunday, starting 1 hour after the seniors do at Etihad. Could it have been done better? Almost impossible not to do it better, but....
Northern Blues vs. Collingwood Sunday, July 06 Preston City Oval at 2:15pm

B Riddle Maxwell Yagmoor HB Clarke Marsh Armstrong C Mooney Broomhead Ramsay HF Matheson* White Karnezis F Gault Reid Freeman R Howe Hellier Martin Int Wallace Suckling J. Williams Tyquin R. Pendlebury Allan Ferguson Moloney Gray
Our team looks much stronger this week, even considering that the senior interchange players have not yet been selected. Having Cachia and Ellard and Cripps in makes a midfield, something generally lacking last week.
Beaten by the Meat Pies. I really hated that. Collingwood supporters haven't changed either. Still coming to a battle of wits unarmed. Nichevo: we still lost.
Well, hopefully a few more people will want to vote this week, although I find that unlikely given the crowd at the game.

Northern Blues vs. Geelong Cats Sunday 29th June Preston City Oval at 1:00pm

Couple of interesting names: Byrne was supposed to have an injured knee, yet he is named, as is White. Bell is a much higher probability to play, which is a positive move.
You guys know >:(the drill: another defeat and another low voter turnout to result. Do your worst.

God, I cannot believe Rhys Palmer kicked 3 against us.
