Robert Heatley Stand / Re: List Changes 2018
Rowe is the one I would have held on to. Been a solid defender in almost every one of his 99 games, in a backline under constant pressure.

Then I started thinking, how many key defenders of his size are there left in the league? (Can anyone name a 200cm defender?)
I'm thinking the trend is for more mobility down back.

I did notice in the last game that TDK was often in the same area as McKay, and not really impacting the contest much.
I think McKay and Curnow had started working well together inside 50, after getting playing time together in the back half of the season.
No knock on TDK... it will just take time to integrate effectively, and probably a bit longer because there are 3 guys to be aware of each other, rather than 2.

I also think such an unsettled line-up this year (form and injuries) means that it again takes longer for players to learn each others game.

Hopefully next year we will have a 22 that is regularly available and playing together. That will give us the 'synergy' that Bolts is always talking about.

Team selection will be very interesting this week.

Do they pick a team based on good structure or good form?
With Casboult out, Kerr seems like a good replacement, even if not quite AFL ready at this stage.
Several players either coming back from injury or battling niggles. Ideally, most should be rested, but our lack of depth in some areas puts the pressure on.

Everything is amplified with facing the scum at the MCG on a Saturday afternoon.

The effort from Murphy in the last few minutes was incredible. Just willed himself at it with repeat efforts.
Awesome work from Rowe around the ground. Held his own in the ruck and got in great positions when needed.
Plowman got crunched at one stage (will be pi$$ing blood this week),  but kept going.
Gibbs was great both offensively and defensively.
Love watching Lamb get stuck into the opposition.

Unfortunately I think Jamo is just about done. Doesn't look like he has any confidence in his body.
