Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Round 11 Carlton v Brisbane
OMG, can't believe Leppitch said it :o

“The year’s proven so far the top four or five teams we’ve played — like Sydney, Port, Hawthorn, Geelong — we haven’t quite been able to match them for long periods of time,” he said.

There’s others at the lower level that we’ve been able to match for a period of time so I’d put Carlton in that category.

What more motivation to we need for a 100pt win  >:D

Need a serious win here. The close and scrappy wins are good enough but I would like a bit more momentum and confidence especially with the Cats next week.

The players should now hopefully see how lame and pathetic those losses to Richmond and Melbourne were and not let it happen again, and that if you bring effort you are always a chance.

The irony is that I feel this the most balanced lineup we've had even under Ratten so if we could just fix up the between the ears stuff that would be good.
Reckon it will be a scrap

Brissy try and take you down to their level.
Yep, they have history scrapping out games.  87 pt loss to Norf, 79 pt loss to Swans, 43 pt loss to Tigers, 113 pt loss to Port, 53 pts to GCS.........I can see we are in serious trouble this round   :))

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: RD 10 : Blues defeat Crows (Post-Match Relief)
To digress, does anyone else have 'raised eyebrows' when they reflect on Port's stellar form this season?

Yep, im with you here.  There is something about it that doesnt sit right with me.  The meteoric rise is bordering on the unbelievable.  They have turned plodders into stars in a very raised eyebrows sort of way.

Really??

C'mon guys this sort of speculation would only help serve the scum and no-one at Port could be so stupid.

They have a very good list with some awesome kids and a fresh coach. It's paying dividends. Season is long though.
I mentioned it a few weeks ago, has a very familiar MO, running out games after playing brutal footy.  Not a stretch to raise eyebrows now that the AFL is just as taineted as other sports  :-\

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: R10 - BEST on ground vs Crows
Docherty, Everitt & Casboult.

Docherty and Everitt for the reasons that have already been said. Thought Casboult was very good around the ground, and in the ruck against much better competition. Threw his body in a few times, plus that spoil.  Starting to look like he belongs and hopefully his confidence continues to grow.

Special mention Menzel, once he starts putting in 4 qtr efforts! look out!  BTW has he got a Rising Start nomination yet?

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Blues v Crows - In game thread
That should be enough to win us the game, but you can't play that way. Continue to run hard and don't give them a sniff.
I wish you'd STFU with those comments. They have come back  before.

And I reckon we are close to the best at losing these games.

I reckon you need to get a grip on reality.

My words have nothing to do with what happens out on the ground.
Really?  Sorry forget the  :P
